I'd like to know how they did this. Reminds me of the Mandelbrot set.
The magic word is Infinite Zoom. I did that for 10 years in Premiere. Today you can find that on an Android.
That Principe remains the same.
Zoom in, cut hole, paste next image into hole, etc. and then you animate that. That is what I can still remember. Here is an example.
