I recently installed and downloaded Poser 11. Downloaded some files from here and am not having any luck installing them. Can someone give an assist please? The files I've downloaded have a content folder that holds a data, people and runtime folder in them. I thought I could just copy the contents from the runtime folder into the library runtime folder but am not sure what to do with the data and people folder.
Data and People are Daz Studio Content folders. Poser files will be under Runtime, however Daz Studio also uses the Runtime folder for Textures, Legacy content, and Poser support files. Chances are with the Data, People, Runtime folders setup you are likely dealing with post Genesis era Daz Studio content (Genesis and Genesis 2 will work in Poser through DSON import/export and will often include poser companion files, Genesis 3 and 8 can be made to work via a complex workaround but whether DSON or a workaround they will not work as well in Poser as Poser native files)
So it sounds like you downloaded stuff for Daz Studio and not Poser native files. However good news is Daz Studio is free so if you don't already have it you can get it and use it and Poser both.
I took your advice and installed Daz Studio and yep no luck there either. There must be instructions somewhere but I can't seem to find them anywhere. The folders show up under my Library but not the working files. I'm trying with Victoria 8 if that makes any difference.
If anyone knows of any directions that an idiot can follow could you please post a link...hopefully I can figure out how to click on it.

is it V8 herself you're trying to install? or things FOR v8? if it's v8, she comes WITH daz studio now, and is under people/genesis 8 female/ in the daz section of the library, usually under the creator's name after that, or the particular creation's name.
if it's STUFF for v8, it would be under people/genesis 8 female/whatever the item type is... (prop, accessory, pose, etc...)
Also, G3-G8 (and the equivalent Victoria models) are NOT compatible with Poser of any version at this time.
Genesis and Genesis 2 ARE, but don't install like most poser content does, and usually shows up in poser's "daz content" section of it's library.
