Hey everyone! I’ve been working on PoseSnap, a free Windows app for creating and refining poses for DAZ Studio.

It can turn a reference photo into an editable Genesis pose, help arrange two people in a shared pose, estimate facial expressions, or generate a body pose from a text description. You can refine the result in Pose Studio, then open it in DAZ Studio or save it as a DUF. It currently supports Genesis 8 and Genesis 9 rigs.

PoseSnap processes your input photos locally. The setup is a Windows x64 portable download; pose extraction requires a supported NVIDIA GPU with at least 8 GB of VRAM (Might work on 4- 6 GB GPUs without text-to-pose).

Testing has been limited, especially across different hardware, DAZ setups, and real-world images. Some features—particularly partner contacts and floor workflows—are still experimental, so please check results and let me know what doesn’t work.

Until then you try it from here.

If you try it, please report bugs or issues on GitHub:

If you find it useful, I’d really appreciate a GitHub star. And if you’d like to support my work, there’s a Ko-fi link in the project README.

Thanks for taking a look—and feedback, including critical feedback, is welcome.
