I love people that post a request, you fill it and you just get "Someone was faster. But thank you." while the others just transfer their points. If there is no transfer in their history to anyone and they never shared back anything to the community, well welcome to my ignore list for requests...

Hmm. Not sure if it's my place to say something or not. Lately I've been finding a lot of many people who are not really open to listening to other's opinions except for what seems right to them and their views/opinions. In fact, they instead want you to bottle it up and close the cap tightly and shut your trap.

Well, this might not be an ideal opinion to some or the others. And, if you're not really open to listen to others then perhaps it should be better to ignore the rest of this post.

I recently came back to zone after, like about a month or so. Was having another setback in my motivation, lack of ability which just distresses and depresses me a lot making me just be lazy and whatnot. Along with some minor but comically amusing health issues that I might not even be able to talk to anyone unless it was more of a face to face, personal talks between some close friends. When I returned, I was astonished to find that my daily point quota that used to be 100 for the site visit was reduced to 50 only. And I was like, meh. What's this community really about? Is it about sharing content out of goodwill? Is it about sharing content mutually with others, a mutual share benefiting both the parties. If it's about the goodwill and not a mutual one, do people expect something out of it? What do they expect to come out of it then?

I had a lot of thoughts, not something to deter me from the site or from my work mood and I just kept breezing through. Mind you now, I haven't had shared anything so far to the community and at this current point if I were, I will most probably think of a mutually exclusive transaction, either a good amount of points or something that I really want to have along with what I might share. At this point in time and reality, I'll be honest. I haven't really bought any product so far at all. I always think about it but I also consider my financial status, my own needs and wants which might not really be that needy but we are beings of desire. Heh, a burger from KFC might tempt you more than buying a product to share on such a site and maybe get some feeling of goodwill. Because, both the points or words are nothing really materialistic that would satiate your own desires. And I don't think there's that many people who would think of doing the reverse. Not that there's anything wrong with it so far as it is in moderation. Perhaps to some it is. If it were me making the request and someone else in the same shoes I could neither force them to fulfill my request nor could I do anything about it. And I wouldn't let that blow my heart away. But I know, for people who are actively sharing stuff here, or are looking for a mutually active transaction then this might seem like a really selfish thing. I might even feel the same one day once I start sharing too.

But the main point is this. What do you really expect out of your sharing? Mind you that, a community like that which implements too many rules/restrictions on sharing might just become an active private/exclusive group. Sort of like all those pirating VIP/premium sites/servers or other similar groups. Which I am sure no one really wants that to become. or is that the case? I have a lot to say but people might just think about it as beating about the bush. When I really make a contribution I never look forward to achieve much from it. Really. That's just me. But then I also don't make a lot of contributions anywhere that easily either, considering how I just explained myself to be above. I think, in that regards the best solution would be to create a different thread. Or a group or anything. Like the request thread.

One, that's meant for people looking for a mutually exclusive transaction in any way however. The requirements for that could be people who are active sharers and who want a mutually exclusive thing in return from others too. Who expect something more out of that, be it out of the need to gather a new product or be it just to encourage others to share too. If that's the case, then I think a lot of the people who expect something or the other out of their own goodwill would be better adjusted to it. Only people who are actively sharing something or are in the process of can participate. If you seem that the deal seems legitimate you can easily go ahead with it. If the person promises to buy something or the other at a later stage, then it's feasible according to the other party if he deems their words trustworthy. And according to all that, people can be actively added to that thread or removed once it seems like they aren't doing much. It might all be a little time consuming and might even require an additional moderator. Or whatever other resources.

And one additional thread could be for people who aren't really expecting something out of their shares. I think, a great part of what makes a community to thrive is to keep everyone's opinions into consideration and give them a place/chance to make their points too and adhering to them too. I do hope that there's something that can actually be done about so that it also pleases these people. I don't like leeching my way too. I also wouldn't like to be leeched either at too considerable a rate. But I don't think I would really enforce something out too drastic. Know that, this is a grey market area, some might even consider it as a piracy site. Think about the developers/artists, you're expecting something out of all this, then how much they might be expecting out of their own products too and people to act. They would actually want others to buy and not share, even in the least. Especially publicly. And we are here quarreling about the morale of people sharing or not sharing out here. Talk about a robin-hood getting robin-hooded by another robin-hood lol. And I know, calling leechers who share on other sites a robin-hood might be a too high of a title. But think about it. For an artist/developer people who participate in sharing to and fro might just be robbers. Robbing them of all the money they could make. And then some other robber steals from you and tries to sell/share it on some other site. And you're calling them robbers. Everyone is a robber in one way or another who actively participates in grey markets. Don't talk about morales or others not sharing or leechers or get dissuaded over it. That's just the way of the world. Sorry for the long post, but I could simply just go on and on about it and places like these. I literally like this place, and I wait for the time where I am careless enough with the money I have/earn that i could actively share back to the community to my heart's content. And i wouldn't like if people dropped out of here for whatever reasons. I think my solution above might need to be a little more refined. But there's a possibility to make everyone happy.

EDIT: Ohh, btw I really wasn't aware of the fact that you could see other's point history. I mean, that could easily dissuade any scams no and the admin/mods could easily check back and remove those points and send to the respective contributor. I thought it was at least this much strict. No wonder people are getting dissuaded about things here that much. And omg how come the points deducted vs the points earned have a difference? I always thought that 50 points were getting sent to the original sharer. Is that not the case?
