I would like to learn how to create a script for daz studio, just like Zevo and Riversoft do.
I don't know any computer coding language but i would learn whats needed to be done.
I know you need to learn to crawl before you can walk, so I will be starting from scratch.
What do I need to know to start this journey?June 9, 2020 at 7:31 PM #1607194There are some courses:

This is his Youtube Channel :

June 15, 2020 at 8:45 AM #1608147Forget those Renderosity courses. Winterbrose (the author of those "courses" ..) doesn't explain anything about scripting. Send me a private message, and you will see some light. (Even I am fed up and tired of programming something ...)
June 15, 2020 at 12:36 PM #1608188The only way is to see the code of those "dse", and assimilate why. A script "dse" is useless to learn (it seems like porridge ..). Much less to apprehend. You have to learn to do scrits from scratch: Nothing is certain, because the documentation of Daz is ... is what there is. (I think they have not updated their pages for a decade on scripting ...) The only thing necessary is to see the "dse" code, see how they do it, and adapt it to your needs.
But, I have the key to see "hidden things" ...June 17, 2020 at 7:24 AM #1608462OK since Daz scripting was mentioned, I would like to run this idea past you all.
It was triggered by Zev0's recent publication of Dial Control, a handy little script that identifies & paths morphs.
What I am thinking of though, is that I often, & I suspect others do too, save kitbash outfits as a wearable preset.
It occured to me that the pathing function would be really handy for texture changes & morph adjustment of kit bashed items. I know there is SMART content for those that use it, but it is a far from perfect solution. If the paths for clothing locations could be shown, perhaps via a script, preferably clickable, it would ease finding installation of individual items to facilitate morph adjustments & texture changes.
What do you reckon?
