Well, i think it is a simple question anyway.
Is there a way to transfer/copy a custom morph we created with the Dform Tool in Daz on a piece of clothing from one cloth to another one ?
Here is an example of what i mean:
Let's say i have a Genesis 3 shirt. I click on it, go in the Dform Tool, click on "create new" to spawn the Dform modifier. Then i use it to lift the bottom of the shirt a little bit. After that, i click on the "spawn Morph" button to create the morph in the object. Let's call it " CustomShirtMorph01 ".
Then, i'm deleting the Dform modifier so all i have left if the custom morph in the shirt and save the shirt as an scene subset. Then, i take ANOTHER genesis 3 shirt, a bit similar but different.
Is there a way for me to transfer/copy the " CustomShirtMorph01 " i created on shirt #1 to the shirt #2 without having to redo all the Dform modifier process ? (which i likely also won't be able to reproduce exactly like the first time because i completly forgot what were the value i used in the first place.)April 23, 2019 at 5:34 PM #1051939I'm bumping this thread one last time in case some people didn't see it or were hesitant to reply.
Isn't there anyone here with a bit of knowledge about morph copy/transfer from one cloth to another ? Can it be done in the first place ?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Else.....i'll have to scavenge the dreaded and convoluted Daz forum for detailled information on that. 🙁April 23, 2019 at 6:01 PM #1051977Not sure if it will help, but by accident I discovered something (which may or may not be known already).
Try this: Load a DForce shirt for a character, and set your pose, and use the DForce simulation. Then load the new shirt that you want to use and instead of parenting it to the character, parent it to the other shirt. Then don't delete the other shirt, just turn visibility off.
It has worked for me with mixed results - it really depends on the quality of the objects that you're using.

I'm not asking help about DFORCE clothing, but help about the tool/function D-Form (Or Deformer) present in Daz studio which allow you to alter slightly the shape and form of items in your scene and then spawn custom morph of those alteration in the object.
I'm sure i mustn't be the only one here to use that commun tool....right ?
April 23, 2019 at 8:19 PM #1052188My bad. I completely misunderstood 😀
Other than that, I can't help. Sorry!April 26, 2019 at 2:25 PM #1055903Even if not the correct answer, its good to know.
I havent messed with creating morphs in Daz and some clothing could use fit help. So id like input as well.
Uf nobody answers here perhaps browse Daz forums, Theres a bit more back+ forth chat there sometimes.
May 18, 2019 at 8:10 AM #1052175Sounds like what you're referring to, or might need, are projection morphs. The morphs that affect the clothing while leaving the shape of the character unchanged. I'm no expert, as I've just recently started tinkering with them. I'm so tired of the vacuum effect with clothing you get, thanks to auto fit. Here's a couple links I've bookmarked recently that might help a bit.
