This is also confusing because I tried to render a character the other day and the rendered image is of low quality, why is that? Even though it says 2k or 4k or whatever

This is actually great info!! Of course the problem that will show its face here is size, wouldn't the higher the quality mean the bigger the size? Or is there a workaround that?

This is all so overwhelming... I turned off the cpu usage of CPU in rendering but I believe my 1050ti could use all the help it can get lol,
So I checked the channels you mentioned and Thundorn videos on Ren'py piqued my interest, now I have a clear vision in my head of what I actually want to do, I want to make 3D characters, have them pose in nice scenes then render them, then make a dungeon video game like Zelda for example but with cut-scenes that look like the ones in Ren'py games! Wouldn't that be a glorious game? The transition of the player character from tiny pixels on the screen to realistic full 3D models would make it a visual novel with a little twist of grinding dungeons!
Now master Zemlon ...Now that the our goal is clear! Just direct me where to start learning for it! As you said, Rome was not built in one day so lets take baby steps!
Once you think about it, it's actually fascinating that we are learning the skill to turn our imagination into something the whole world can see!

What a coincidence, I worked in that field and we always asked customers to send their work in CMYK format and at minimum of 75 dpi, also color profiles are very important because you don't want the printed image to differ from what you see on the screen, specially if you are printing a logo, perhaps I am thinking of dpi a lot because of my background lol

It's funny how no matter how far we advance some things never change, 26 years ago I was learning how to walk when you met this kind of "experts", and even I met these snotty know-it-all people on my endless learning journey, the thing about these know it all people is that you can spend your entire life talking to them without learning anything useful hah!
I am downloading unreal engine right now to see how it feels, will keep you posted about the progress (or lack of) 🙂
