So I was following Kelvin Jin's high heel transferring tutorial on YouTube and got the heels I was importing to work properly. However, now all of my figures are automatically in the high heel pose, even though the heel pose for the feet in the pose control is at zero (I turned it on to 75 to model the heels). If I load the default genesis 8 female first, other models will have their feet in the same pose as the default model, but in the joint editor it will show their joints in the heeled pose. If I load a heeled model first, the genesis 8 model will have their feet in the heeled pose, but their joints will be in the default pose. Is there any way to fix this?

There's an apparent solution here on the Daz forums https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/378246/character-stuck-in-high-heeled-foot-pose Hope it works for you. 🙂

I did that, both feet have zero on all their parameters, but the heel pose remains.

Oh, that sucks.... Did you try messaging Kelvin Jin and seeing if he has a solution; seeing as it was his tutorial you followed

    Maybe Maybe this helps.

    The easy way

    Start Daz.

Load the Genesis 8 Base Figure.

Go to your Parameters Tab (may want to check the Shaping Tab later as well) and select “Currently Used”. This should display the offending morphs.

For those unwanted morphs click the “Gear Cog” on the upper right of the “Morph Dial” and select “Parameter Settings”

In the lower half of the next menu box theres a “Default” setting. Change it to ” 0 ” (zero) and click “Accept”.

To save this, you’ll need to go to the Menu, File, Save As, Support Asset, “Save Modified Assets”

You should get a message box saying G8 and those morphs will be permently modified, Click “Accept”.

Next time you load G8 it should be all good zero’d out

Sounds like you saved over the stock Genesis morph.

If all else fails, you could always try re-installing Genesis 8 Female Starter Essentials (IM00042071-01_Genesis8FemaleStarterEssentials.zip)
If any files were altered, they will be restored. It can't hurt!

@amberkat I think you're absolutely right; I never thought of that when I was trying to help the OP! I thought it might have been 4.20 being glitchy.

    @explodingcarr0t
so I went to watch the video you mentioned, to get an idea of the workflow, I see you asked there, and gash darn, Kelvin Jin answered you 🙂 I love when youtubers are actually in tune with their viewers.

Anyway, he said what I said, but smarter. :p

Thank y'all for the help so far, though I did reinstall Genesis 8 essentials, but event when I load a brand new figure and save it as a scene subset, when I load the subset, the feet are still messed up.

Have you really try the easy way as I wrote?

Yeah, there aren't any morphs applied, but it still is in the heeled pose. All of the stuff is default 0.

Also, uninstalling Daz3d completely and re adding my products didn't work

This is a great mystery to me. If you have followed this "easy way" exactly, but really exactly, all parameters should be set to zero.
If that doesn't help, I'm pooped.
