This is the only time I've encountered this...
The figure in the render is pretty strong at the beginning, but as the picture gets sharper, the figure itself begins to disappear, leaving behind a transparency...
Even the reflection of her hand on the door and her feet in the side mirror are making the image transparent...Anyone encountered this??
February 21, 2018 at 10:24 PM #5041781st of all nice pic.
2nd - Save as to a new name. Maybe just a reboot will correct the problem. If not maybe you can load a save before the problem happened.
3rd - check your surface (color) and click on skin-lips-nails and make sure the cutout opacity opacity is 100% and make sure nothing is loaded within its image box.
4th - reapply the characters original textures via content library (or however you apply textures to a character (ie smart content).
5th - make sure you aren't running low on memory. looks like a big scene maybe lack of memory is causing weird texture problems for your character. (ie grey/default textures/checkerboarding/black textures). You can check memory usage if on windows by going to task manager and checking memory total usage percent. top category/2nd one. remember when rendering, memory usage starts to sky rocket depending on amount of textures that need to be applied.hopefully it's not the last one and that's why i saved it for last. if it is just try to find things not in your viewport and delete them from the scene. good luck.
February 21, 2018 at 10:51 PM #504194I have never had that prob so i cant help, but i can say once u get it figured out it's gonna look cool.
February 21, 2018 at 11:47 PM #504224First of all, I wanted to tell you how impressed I am with your DA gallery. Thanks for the follow, by the way! Two thirds of my followers are on this site (you and Kooroe)
I love your eye for texture and perspective in your photography, and it translates to your 3D renders. I look forward to seeing more of both!
As for this issue, I’m not sure I’m of much help. Are any of those depth of field planes visible? Haven’t played with those much but what little I have, they seem to do some weird things.
Other than that, it would seem that your character is trapped in another dimension like Caption Kirk in that TOS episode.
February 22, 2018 at 2:33 AM #504374I've had that happen to me when I was playing with the skin shaders and subsurface colours, one of the other products I've seen also mentions that chromatic SSS can cause issues when there is no background loaded (pretty sure I had a background so I'm not sure what it meant) switching to mono is a work around but not ideal, try it, if it helps then that's the issue and you can try tweak the SSS. (or maybe even load a basic skydome / turn on environment dome)
February 22, 2018 at 3:00 AM #504400Yeah this is one I haven't had yet. I tried reproducing it in a few ways I thought _might_ cause it but none of them worked. I'd guess skinklizzard is right, it's probably a texture setting. I had some weird issue last night where something rendered black and white because i'd accidentally moved a slider I dont normally touch.
What you've got is a kinda cool effect where it looks like the skin is affecting the alpha channel inversely, which would let you do some cool video effects through her skin.
February 22, 2018 at 8:07 AM #504644so did some testing

seems to be something to do with the rays going beyond white point brightness with no dome background, setting draw dome to on fixed it
February 22, 2018 at 8:40 AM #504671@Rob I can't thank you enough... just getting recognized is a big step for me anymore!
Okay, everyone, it seems that a couple of you were right in suggesting it may be a problem with the figure's surface settings... I don't know what I did wrong, but it may have been increasing the normal maps settings to try and accent the folds in the soles of the feet, but if that's it, I don't know what that would affect the entire body..
Anyway, so far it looks like it's working... just replaced base, normals, and translucency settings with V8 HD....I'll post the finished product if it renders in full....
February 22, 2018 at 10:21 AM #504755That is a very strange happening ... I wonder if it's just the DAZ iRay or if it's an issue in iRay in general.
February 22, 2018 at 12:48 PM #504860The render looks like it will be awesome when it's complete. 🙂
February 22, 2018 at 1:57 PM #504922Ive had 2 do this. One had something to do with the skin. I re textured with a dif skin and it was gone.
The other was my settings. not sure where since i defaulted and reset stuff.
The second actually ended looking like #1.

February 26, 2018 at 6:49 PM #510671that seems to be iray rendered ..?
you probably have a 3ddelight settings/shader on this character...so that doesnt match...you should change its default skin or smthg (more) compatible with iray.February 26, 2018 at 6:54 PM #510681I don't mean no disrespect (and of course this is just an opinion) but I'd honestly get rid of the guy running across the street, unless you plan to wash him out with dof.. he pulls the eye away from the starlet in the passenger cab. Otherwise really nice picture.
Also..
I don’t know what I did wrong, but it may have been increasing the normal maps settings to try and accent the folds in the soles of the feet
I doubt it was the normal map that caused the problem. I could be wrong but the worst thing that I know a normal map can do is create seams.
February 26, 2018 at 7:19 PM #510711Nice pic. I like the car reflections. Wheres the building from on the left?
