The download is fine, and no issues with functionality. I also love the idea behind it and will be happy to buy it once it's accurate enough.

It gets somewhat close when using most pictures I used for a test run, but often I have to do a lot of hip rotation, limb rotation, etc. I have a giant bucket of Artstation reference images, with most of them using nude models, so the inaccuracy isn't because of clothing or props; I made certain of that when I picked the reference pics. Also, I used the default Genesis 8 figure (not even 8.1) to ensure that wasn't an issue (especially since I have so many toon figures with bigger-than-usual heads, etc.)

I'll keep working with it, though. It is pretty close - close enough that I can tweak things into completion without too much work. I will say that I've only used "Play" to apply the generated poses, and didn't save the poses as .duf files (which might increase accuracy?)

I am curious if anyone else has used it yet, and what your results were. Also, are there any tips or tricks?

    @pooper

I'm trying, but all I get is a black screen. Tried again, dropped an image in the black box but nothing happens. It's running in the background and using 3GB of RAM. Nvidia Studio drivers. Fully updated. I tried the gaming drivers but no difference. Studio 4.22 and 4.24 :/

I have got it to run with no issues. Yes there are some rotational items that need to be tinkered with, but to be fair, the main store page does state that some adjustments may well be needed.

I have tried about a dozen so far, and I've only had 1 that was pretty far off, but that was due to 2 limbs being semi hidden in the picture, everything else seemed to link well to the Gen 9 Model I was testing them on.

I think, if your expecting wonderful perfect results, its not going to tick the box, if your ok with it potentially saving you 75-80% of the time in creating the poses, then you'll have a better view of it.

Only thing I'd like, and hope that it might happen, is for them to either be able to select a figure in a group scene to pose, or allow the creation of multiple poses per picture, to reflect a group scene.

Is it worth the asking price to buy, unless your making lots of poses, and want to save a bunch of time probably not. If it was say 10-15 bucks, then perhaps I'd consider grabbing it, but for the almost 50 bucks price tag (not including the current sale) I think its certainly far too big an asking price

    Quick duo of attempts:
    G8/G9 and initial Reference picture

https://postimg.cc/v1YChN3B - Initial results after clicking play
https://postimg.cc/2qkgGK2V - Results after some X-rotation to get figures into the right orientation

Yes some work is going to be required on all of them, but its certainly quicker than trying to dial it in from scratch.

Yeah I'm having a hard time to get it to work myself. Does the install path need to be the same as the DAZ install path? Because right now, I have Daz installed on it's own SSD and the Image to pose Generator on it's own SSD. Maybe that's the issue? Or maybe I'm just dumb. Hopefully some generous soul out there can write a setup guide? That'd be helpful.

I just installed it to my main program drive, which is not the same drive my Daz installation is on, or even my content libraries and it just seems to work. Drive its installed on is not an SSD, its a plain mechanical hard drive

I tried installing it again on a seperate drive but it still hangs, I noticed it has a network connection which stops after a minute or so. I restarted the app again but it's still unresponsive with a black screen.

I've used AI tools like ComfyUI on my machine with no issues but this simply wont work :/

I ended up buying the tool and have been playing around with it for a few days now. Honestly, I think it is the best tool developed for Daz in recent years. Sure, the poses it generates are not 100% perfect yet, they are sitting at about 85% accuracy. But even in its current state, it is incredibly good. With just a few micro adjustments, you can get the exact pose you are looking for

To me, the biggest takeaway is that this is still just V1. In the product description, the dev mentions that his first model only had about a 50% accuracy rate, his second hit 60%, the third 70%, and this current active model pushed it up to 80 or 85%. So it is literally getting better all the time. As a quick example, just think back to what AI image and video generators looked like 3 or 4 years ago. They were an unrecognizable mess. Now look at where they are today. I see this program evolving the exact same way

I completely agree with the comment above about wanting the ability to detect multiple figures and poses in a single photo. I actually reached out to the developer on Renderhub yesterday about that exact thing. He told me he is planning to add that feature and that it is already in development

Right now, standard pose packs on the Daz store go for around 10 to 15 bucks a pop. You can pick this tool up for roughly the price of three pose packs, and instead of being stuck with a limited library, you get limitless pose generation. It is a tool you can use endlessly for the cost of just a few static packs

I just want to make sure that we're all on the same page, I know how frustrating trouble shooting can get. So here are some things that I did, that I think would help everyone who didn't get it to work ( or did get it to work) to compare what we may have done differently from one another.

    1) Daz3d is installed on Drive X (non primary drive)
    2) Ai Pose Generator is installed on Drive Y - Also non primary C Drive (in a folder labeled "Tools")
    3) I've set up an outbound rule for Ai Pose Generator in my firewall
    4) My Daz3D Version is 4.23

I've gotten the program to run. I was able to load a picture and press generate. but when I press play it says "play is only available inside the desktop app"

When I hit the save button it says that the pose is saved...but where to? I couldn't find the pose file name anywhere.

So that's where I'm at right now. For everyone else that got it to work, did you just install in on your regular C drive?

Works for me with Windows 11 and an NVIDIA 2070TI graphics card. It does seem to get you close to the images i have thrown at it so far

For me I installed it on my E:\ Drive. Which is where I store all my non important items, that I'm exploring or playing about with. - In this file Path E:\Program Files\DAZ Pose Generator AI - LaurenDev

After launching the program and adding a picture I click the generate pose button in the top right, let it run till it provides the options for Play or Download.

Just to check before going further, in the bottom right, does it show V1.1.0?

After making sure Daz is loaded, with a Gen 9 figure loaded and selected, clicking play puts the figure into the 'pose'

Choosing 'Download' opens a file explorer where I get to choose where the file is stored.

Not sure where the 'save' button is your talking about, as I don't see one in the program I'm looking at.

Still no luck for me. I've tried different drives but all I get is a black box.
I can drop an image onto it but that's all, no GUI, version number or any other wording. The app I got was from the request page, It says v1.1 on the zip file. Oddly though I was refunded the 500 points I put up. No idea what's going on there.

All I can suggest in that case is checking your graphics drivers and other OS updates, just in case thats catching it.

Check that you have an Nvidia graphics card as well, as if you don't that could well be the issue point.

    Minimum System Requirements:
    OS: Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)
GPU: NVIDIA GPU with at least 4 GB VRAM (Required for stable AI model processing)
    RAM: 8 GB System RAM
Storage: 8 GB free disk space

On my end, I just let fly with the defaults on install. My DS 4.23 install is on the system drive, in the usual spot, and that one is the one that's called when I mess with the app.

    @darkeststryke

All Windows and Nvidia, all updated. 12GB card and 64GB of Ram.
As I said earlier, I had no issue with ComfyUI or other AI tools in the past.
I guess I'll Just keep keep trying.
