Tried this Pose Recorder. Recorded a video of my face, talking. Ran it through the program. Imported the animation to G8 Male. the result is a mess - the eyes and mouth distort - there's movement, but distorted.

I notice the youtube videos show the original video following the face. My video doesn't do that, although I do keep my head stationary.

Has anyone had luck with this?

It has to walk the plank.

Maybe, select Head and mirror. You need a photo/video camera and good light: No a webcam. Mixed with Anihead, perhaps works fine. The OpenCV engine It is in its infancy, yet to be polished with code... I use python 3.9, and no still works fine, but is a nice way. Better than Mojo from Laylo 3D, who needs a iPhone! 😀
All this is due to the very little information of the Daz API, as well as its script model. This attitude makes it difficult to program serious things for Daz's environment. I'm sick of that lack of transparency.
Normally, these transformations come from morphs, not bones. Like the expressions of a MikuMikuDance model. They can only be fixed with Maya or MotionBuilder. (Or be very patient with modifying the morphs of a Genesis 8 or 8.1 by hand.) ...

No rendra, it needs to be keel-hauled, along with a band of very fat men in leather shorts burping to the tune of she'll be coming 'round the mountain.

Abad, you say it works fine? What camera do you have?

Rendra, a old Nex 5 from Sony, a Evil type... No mobil phone. If you have a good shot and a resolution, better. But no always is a solution...
