Here's a limited-time opportunity to download for free many of the items that I have posted. I will give you the rest of this week to get what you want. After that, I delete the files. Of course, this will mean the links from posts will break, so there will also be an opportunity to earn some points by reposting anything you grab.

The link goes to a folder, each item is in a seperate zip or rar file so choose which you want. The list shows the names of the files as they appear in the folder. Before anyone complains, there's a lot of stuff here and I don't feel compelled to spend my time rewriting the list using the product names. It should be obvious what is in each file.

There is nothing sinister. There have been threads in the past about addiction, and while I won't go quite that far, it is certainly true that I have devoted too much time to Daz. There have also been threads about people becoming collectors of content rather than users of Daz, and this has also happened - finding and acquiring stuff has become an end in itself. As part of the collector lifestyle, I used to enjoy this site. Even that is no longer fun because of the frequent pissing matches between certain repeat offenders. The latest eruption last Saturday was what I needed to convince me that it is time to pull the trigger, go cold turkey and get my life back.

Thnaks for your words of encouragement. I responded quickly to your first question yesterday. I was just about to go out but thought you deserved at least something of an answer. Now I have more time, let me expand.

Let me start by clarifying that I am not giving up because of the toxic atmosphere that has developed on ZoneGFX. This was the final straw that catalyzed a decision that I should have made some time ago. The root issue is that I no longer enjoy using Daz (in fact, my only use in the last three months has been to have a quick look at something new after I acquired it). At the same time, I have been investing way too much time in hunting for stuff as an end in itself, and this was increasingly becoming an obsession. I felt that the only solution would be a clean and irreversible break. I already deleted everything from my own system. Cleaning out my presence on Daz is actually the last step in the process, as I felt this had to be done slowly to give other people a chance to fill any gap I leave.

If Daz (and ZoneGFX) were still important to me, I would not be walking away, I would be trying to inject some leadership to get the toxicity rooted out. However, given how little interest I have had in Daz latterly, I don't feel this is worth my time or energy. I would be giving up Daz sooner or later even if everyone's behavior on ZoneGFX were perfect (although I might not have got the push I needed to do it now). I do suspect others will start to drift away from ZoneGFX and find (or start) alternatives, and this site will die sooner or later. That however, is not my problem.

I can certainly empathise with the way you are feeling regarding the threshhold situation where a hobby becomes an obsession. At times that can get to feel pretty marginal!
Provided you are still in control & enjoying the pastime it is not an issue in itself.
Whether you regard yourself a collector, or an artist or a combination of the two, is not that critical, as long as you are enjoying the experience.

As regards toxicity, compared to most places on the net, this place is a cake walk.
Sure, you get the odd spat every so often, but that happens all over from time to time anyway. In fact, I don't think that this community has any serious problem with that.
I just socialise with those that are sociable & leave the remainder to their own devices.

Reducing your involvement with the DS world does not need be cold turkey, unless that is the way you prefer to adjust.
Like giving up any addiction, you can wean yourself into a more balanced rewarding lifestyle.
As regards addictions though, IMO DS is a relatively harmless one.
