Hi all, I'm just starting to finally transition over to using primarily G9 from G8 figures in my renders, and have noticed just how awful the nipples are on the figures!
Firstly, when I try to make the nipples 'erect' they just look spiky and angular, so tried using a number of HD nipple replacer; HD Nipples for Genesis 9, RDGL Nipples, Realistic Nipples for G9 and STX Nipples, but I can't get the materials to paste on any of those! I follow the instructions, copy the materials, but when it comes to paste it, nothing happens, I'm just left with white nipples/patches on the chest!
Am I missing something or a setting? It's driving me nuts!
There's probably already a post about this, but I couldn't find it, so if you could either help me out here or point me in the right direction, I'd be grateful!
August 26, 2024 at 11:21 AM #2088178Just one of the many reasons I am passing on G9 characters. :0/
G8F / 8.1F is a proven base with known limitations & work arounds.

Nipples and navels are a real drawback on G9. Have yet to find a replacement I'm truly happy with...
August 26, 2024 at 1:58 PM #2088204Doesn't stx literally have a script which automatically applies the textures of said character ? This must be something on your end, I have never had trouble with the materials and applying them on nipples so far...
August 26, 2024 at 2:25 PM #2088207This is exactly what i'm thinking, that there's a setting or slider or something I've got switch on/off that's not make it work, but I can't, for the life of me, find what it is!
August 26, 2024 at 2:27 PM #2088208OK, just checked, and the STX Navel is doing the exact same thing, materials are not loading
August 26, 2024 at 2:46 PM #2088210Fixed the "Spiky" nipple problem part of my post!
Needed to adjust the 'View SubD Level' in the Parameters tab.
Now, if I could just fix the materials not loading!
August 26, 2024 at 5:03 PM #2088221I do not have any issues with RDGL (Rendorgal) nipples and navel which come with their own texture scripts for G9. The only limitation I face is the lack of support from external nipple/navel morph packages, which only apply to the base G9 mesh. Luckily, the RDGL ones have their own set of morphs which helps. Make sure you have the G9 parent selected while running either the geograft or their material scripts.
(Since you have the same issue with multiple geografts, I have a hunch that you need to select the parent G9 figure for applying the materials. The scripts need access to the parent's materials to copy to the geograft.)
August 27, 2024 at 2:16 AM #2088250How about this one: https://www.daz3d.com/hd-nipples-and-navels-for-genesis-9-feminine
What's the difference between this product using projection morphs instead of geografts like in others, other than not having to deal with separate textures?
August 28, 2024 at 6:39 AM #2088400That's a good product, IMO nicer than dealing with geografts. That said, it's obnoxious to *have* to render at subD 4 to get decent results. Not much to be done about it, tho.
August 28, 2024 at 10:13 AM #2088407Unless you stick with G8/8.1F 😉

Your average Daz user is more accustomed to the standard user facing files approach, as opposed to having to delve deeper.I think that a missing level of user accessibility might be an issue.
It might be a barrier for some.:0/
