I'll be blunt, I need to make a female character with dwarfism.
Are there any midget morphs for G8F and if so, which/what would you suggest?

When I did one, mostly I just adjust the height way down and mixed in a child proportion morph, but she's fairly proportional, just really really short
April 25, 2022 at 1:47 AM #1799898April 25, 2022 at 10:30 AM #1799997Just make your own... the easy part is spinning dials and scaling bones. The hardest part is studying actual anatomy so you can see just how much to scale each part. You could save out the changes to a shaping preset for future use.
April 25, 2022 at 2:00 PM #1800072@frank22 and @amberkat are both right. The Topsy package makes a good foundation to start with, but you will definitely want to make modifications along the way, and to study the anatomy of dwarfism as you go. I still have to get the face finished up on this one, but it should give you an idea of what you can do with the base Topsy body after a few tweaks:
April 25, 2022 at 2:04 PM #1800076PS: I also learned along the way that there are different kinds of dwarfism, each with distinguishing looks/shapes, so you will definitely want to look that up as well.
April 25, 2022 at 3:05 PM #1800089Good start, still need to work the hands and feet to portray brachyphalangy.
Thing is, clothing is gonna be a real bear to deal with in light of such extreme scaling, or is that not a concern? 😛
April 25, 2022 at 3:43 PM #1800105Fit Control helps a lot clothing-wise. as does cranking up Smoothing a touch when needed. Believe it or not, the little swimsuit I tossed on is at default with no tweaks whatsoever.
The hands and feet I agree with... I could stand to go shorter and stubbier, but then hand posing becomes an issue, and I'll have to adapt to that. Gonna have to toss it in a mesh-pusher anyway, since the dials only go so far.
April 25, 2022 at 5:08 PM #1800141Not sure how accurate it is but
This is from renderotica so beware of naughty bits

Ha... I 'need' one too... I have done some dial spinning, but maybe I'll just, for both of us 🙂 put a request in for Sarah Jo
Those of you hoardin' points...
come on... add to the kitty!April 25, 2022 at 7:15 PM #1800189Guess it might work as a starting point for a Slaanesh wizard.
Something we are sorely lacking in for Daz female components. That said, I worked with guy that wasnt effected but was good friends with an organization of female "dwarfs" no idea what the PC flavor of the day term is.
I was at a rest stop coming up from Florida and saw a little woman that looked just like a little woman. She was very small but I couldnt see any "signs" other than her size. She just looked like an average person that was scaled down.
Im sure with a hand full of these short characters a person could dial in whatever they are after. As stated above, using pictures for reference while at the wheel should get you where you want to be. I would say you can never have to many morphs but since Daz likes to load fricking everything, that would be a poor statement.
Not sure how clothing will be impacted but using kids clothes may help. Just slap a different shader on them to make them look more adult.
April 25, 2022 at 7:42 PM #1800202That's what I was talking about earlier - the 'little woman' I think is called Primordial (or Proportional) Dwarfism, where the body's proportions are all the same as any normal-sized woman, just smaller.
A short ('scuse the pun) explanation of the basic types can be found here: https://www.webmd.com/children/dwarfism-causes-treatments#:~:text=There%20are%20two%20main%20categories,are%20in%20proportion%20but%20shortened.
