Frozen in time
I've made quite a few pinup/artistic nude renders over the years. Many were ok, some were good, others were considered very good, but, this... this is a few years old, but I still can't honestly say I've made anything more striking.April 1, 2018 at 4:31 PM #553792I really like it. What did you do to get the skin frost effect? Only minor issue if you revisit this, I might try using a gravity morph for breast. They look nice but for my taste are a bit to much like implants.
April 1, 2018 at 5:17 PM #553825well, the frost effect is a "lucky accident". I tried using the skinvue's ancient "wet and tan" skin, and turn it into SSS via EZSkin2. Naturally, that removed all the traditional wet specularity, leaving me with the option of desaturating the diffuse map, through an hsv node, and use the greyscale output as the specular (and bump, skinvue used a weird system for spec and bumpmapping, that made tampering with the shader nodes near impossible) map, and hooking it accordingly. Admitedly, I should have used a node for specularity, but, that frosty effect worked well as well.
As for the breasts, given the character's body preset, this is as far as breast morphs could go before distorting breast slopes too far.
I usually use a combination of NBM, and Xameva's jaw-dropper, and/or wonderbreast morphs for movement.April 1, 2018 at 5:24 PM #553832I can always look forward to your art, @yanmartyn it always captivates my imagination!
I do agree with @d0gg0d that the breasts must run free like the puppies they are.
with that said and excuse me for saying but I've literally seen thousands of breasts from that angle. So it would have to depend on whether she is gathering herself in a ball or extending herself outward that would determine which way the areola and nipple would be directed. It may be a trivial detail but for a breast connoisseur it makes or breaks it.
GOD SAVE THE TATAS!April 1, 2018 at 5:46 PM #553850Some of the best things were discovered by accident.
I need Locos job.
April 1, 2018 at 7:16 PM #553948Me too...
On a serious note, it's the rigging limitation. Unlike Genesis 2, and genesis 3, the Victoria 4 breasts are part of the chest, not the collar. Movements of the breasts are harder to come across, and the areaola morphing can't really angle it, only move it up and down, or puff/flatten it. Magnets could work, but even they have limitations.April 1, 2018 at 7:31 PM #554001Anonymous

@Yan
Frozen in time is a nice piece of work indeed.
Regarding the body movements. If you were a Zbrush user you can do all the tweaking you like and get great results. Just saying.April 1, 2018 at 7:35 PM #554002I tried Zbrush... the learning curve, versus the time I can afford in learning it has made it nearly impossible, but, whenever I find enough time, I'll eventually give it a more in-depth go... it's how I learned the basics of hexagon and blender at the end.

You wouldn't believe how easy it is to use Zbrush for morphs and tweaking.
I thought it would take me forever and a lot of headaches that come with learning new software. Actually, it only took around 5 short YewTube vids to get up and running.April 2, 2018 at 1:03 AM #554229If you remember, please link a few you found to be the most helpful.
April 5, 2018 at 7:42 PM #558946So nice! Great pose and specially her hands and feet. Great work.
