    I'm 65 too but I've never seen any SW films though I've seen parts of some.... not to my taste. Seems like a galactic soap opera and vehicle for plastic toy merchandising. I much prefer some more meat on the bones like the old Star Trek or Dr Who. I still remember watching A for Andromeda in the early 60s, and it's sad that most of the serial was lost when the BBC taped over them, like NASA did with the original moon landing tapes. IMO a lot of the old stuff was better... like Callan was much better than the James Bond series.

    Kitbashing is a fairly standard means to come close in many aspects of recreating SW bits - clothes or scenery (the whole concept of greebles in CG came from the Death Star model's construction.)

    I can't recall, but I think Ep IV was also the first use of CG in cinematography ever (the 'trench' X-Wing and TIE Fighter targeting screen animations were actually computer-generated.)

    - Zim Is simply awesome. No idea why Nickelodeon ever allowed it to air, but I'm totally glad they did.

    - no mention of Allan Quatermain? The Quatermain series was IMHO the very genesis of televised SciFi

    ...and nobody mentions Red Dwarf. Tsk tsk.

    PS: only 53 years of age here. Geez, I need to change my profile pic.

    @Pooper

    I've got the completed Red Dwarf series on DVD as well as the movies. I just can't think of much that I would want to render from it.

    Gonna have to toss in the Twilight Zone as one of the few B+W series I remember. A little off the sci-fi track but Adam's Family was great also. Didn't care for Lost in Space but the "recent" movie was ok. Flash movie was decent, especially the Princess. Add Excalibur and LotR to the fantasy section. I STILL haven't watched Firefly and have owned it for awhile now.

    If you haven't watched SW you really should. It's almost cyberpunk in some aspects and if you watch it start with Episode 4,5,6. If you haven't watch Star Trek Wrath of Khan (old) watch Space Seed (I think) then the movie. It's ST at its best.
