Hi Everyone.
I just downloaded the Karaoke Machine ressource posted here in the website database and after installing it and trying to use/spawn any of the 3 component in it in my workspace in Daz (Headphone, Mic and Screen), i always an error message saying there is a file missing. The objet are not spawning correctly and i only get a strange shaped block of polygone.
https://zonegfx.com/karaoke-machine/I'm just asking, as anyone else downloaded this ressource and had the same problem ? Is there really a file missing in the package offered here or it is just me who messed up somewhere and the product work just fine ?
If the product uploaded here is really incomplete,
If someone has the complete product and has it working fine, can he/she would be kind enough to upload it here and replace the one who isn't working ?Well, i tried again and i am still getting the same error.
For example, when i click on the Headphone prop icone, it say:
"some assets needed to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected.
The following files could not be found: "data/auto_adapted/valkaraokeheadphones_18398/geometry_ec4d5036_9c74_639f_ca2b_f71e3edd5c9f/valkaraokeheadphones.dsf
If you just tested it and it worked, maybe you could share me the way you did it ? Please ?
Personnaly, here is how i did it. I usualy do this for everything i get here from this website and it always worked perfectly fine. Until this day with this product.
After unzipping all of the file, i go into the folders, copy ONLY the "Content" folder (and all it's content), go into my program file of Daz/Studio/Content and paste it there. Nothing more, nothing less.
Than after i launch Daz 4.10, i go into the "Content Library tab". (I don't use the Smart Content tab)
Then i go into the menu: Poser Formats/studio/Props/Karaoke Machine
and then i'm trying to spawn the headphone (for example). And it just doesn't work unlike everything else i do with the exact method. (i get the message error and a pixelised unshaped gray/black block)The reason why i go into the Poser Formarts/studio instead of the Daz Studio Formats/studio is because the Karaoke Machine folders doesn't seem to appear there. It ofthenly happend sometime with some product i use. But i never had trouble with spawning objet with the Poser Format tab before.
So there you go. Is there something i'm doing really wrong ?
P.S: Just to make sure, the product contain (not counting the templates folder) 92 files in 11 folders.
ive had this happen on other items. I do a Windows explorer search for the error file in daz folder. in some cases its been moved by someone to a different folder and in others its missing. easy fix if its in a dif folder. Other way, just look for another download or hit someone here up gor a copy.
I searched for the files just like you mentioned.
There is a valkaraokeheadphones.obj in the Content/Runtime/Geometries/Karaoke folder but no valkaraokeheadphones.dsf
(It's the same thing for the others 2 objects. There is a .obj for them, but no .dsf like the program is looking for.)
But since Drazzilknicks said he made it work after testing it, that's why i'm asking how he did it.
But on the other side, if this product is really defective and some files are missing, any help from someone with a fonctionning product would be appreciated. (That's why i wrote down the number of file in the product. If someone with a working version of this product could double-check to see if the numbers are matching fine, than i would know that the product here on this website is really complete and it is just me who is doing something wrong......somewhere...... o_o
dont stress 🙂 id try a different file. im sure someone will link it to you. try a new file and if it still happens, it may be something youve done. I had some shaders i changed file names on at it ganked them up. So i just deleted them.
Seems some items are very picky on folder names and others arent. Had a few that looked on C: drive also when my files are on D: drive. I couldn't change their need to look on C: so i deleted them. as you can see after a few trys of not working, i move on. to many great products to get hung up on one. Few hours is the most ill sink into a problem unless im really dedicated to it. Then it might be weeks.Ok I must admit I installed it using the IM but I'll do you a solid and send you the auto_adapted files from the data folder, I'm guessing it's related to the scripts in the support folder that the IM runs on install or something.

THAT'S IT!!!!! IT'S WORKING NOW!!!! You totaly nailed what was missing. Those files were indeed missing from the product package uploaded and linked here in the website database. I can't thank you enough @Drazzilkniks. (Actually, i'm sending you a hundred points for those missing files!)
Unless you are not interested, you should maybe see to upload your working copy here in the website librairy database to replace the faulty one. (I'm still pretty new here and i never uploaded anything yet. Still learning the rope.)
Anyway, regarless or not, @Tomsk or an admin should really take down the current [ Karaoke Machine ]

I'm new to this thread and only just realised that I had uploaded the faulty goods!

I have now updated the files and tested them, they seem to be working fine now.If anyone lost points because of this, please let me know and I'll rectify that for you!
