actually, maybe it's not completely done maliciously but from mistake, a few updates ago, I noticed after updating my windows 11 to latest windows build, I start getting false positive from download that can persist for hours, before the issue suddenly gone away and I can download the same file without any alarm from my windows defender. Basically, the problem is windows update being shitty as usual. But some people just jumped the gun and think the file are infected with a virus, rather than confirming whether it is false positive or not by seeking confirmation from others.

I've had folks mistakenly report a virus in good faith, but I do know that there are white knights among us who have little but that as a tactic.
Good on staff though, they've always been helpful and knowledgeable, and ready to help sort it out.
