Experiment that worked better than a geoshell

I originally did this image using a modified geoshell, but in the end, I pasted the Tomcat Golden Jaguar skin on top of normal skin and set the opacity to 25% in photoshop. I then loaded the Tomcat GJ skin and turned the bump off, and changed the base image to this. It gave me an effect where the coloration looks like it's just under the skin.

Thanks. Sometimes the simplest methods are the best. I really didn't like the way the geoshell worked with this. I've still got some ideas for geoshells, just not for this particular character.

Fur looks pretty good but for some reason every time I look at it, it looks like he's wearing cat claw boots.

yeah, the left hand especially. That needs some blending work.

DOF for background past the characters because tail blends in with platform and increase glossy roughness for utility belt and capri/shorts.

I think the character looks great. I agree the left hand looks a little bloated but not really a big deal because anthropomorphic characters are part of one's own imagination and can look however you want.
