Lately I've been seeing some requests on the blog, requests that have been filled before, but don't seem to get filled again. I understand that the filler isn't going to go looking every day, but some of these asset requests have been sitting there for a month or more.
As they weren't on the blog, and as I'm not the original filler, having gotten the item from the original filler, is it consider bad form to then fill that asset, given how long it has sat idle without being filled?
I've done this once before, but only for an asset that was filled by someone who no longer comes to the Zone. Most of these current idle assets were filled by members who are still active though.Post one and find out. The worst that will happen is it will be removed. But you'll have your answer.
If the original filler specifically said to not share, then don't share. If they didn't, then PM the filler and ask them if it's OK to fill the request. If they don't respond, then you can post it and see if they push back. Just remember that posting stuff the original filler doesn't want shared can get you banned from getting fills from them in the future if they decide you violated their trust.
In my opinion there is only one exception I see and that is if you purchased the same exact item yourself. But even then, you should probably PM the filler to clarify that you purchased it.
I've seen people post items I originally filled. If you're not posting it soon enough after the original fill (not a day or two, more like two weeks or longer) then that is kinda on you for not posting it.
But posting an asset from someone else's fill... that's a dumb dickhead move because as @ulysses said, you'll probably get banned.
