Yaaa...that ancient old file sharing network is still a thing (and when did saying 'a thing' become a thing?)
I found a pile of Studio stuff on it today both new and old and will be posting what isn't here. I would have thought that anything there would have come from here first but not so. Items are coming in slowly but steadily as it appears to be shared by only one person....so thanks whomever you are!It's here....

I've found it to be rock solid and completely stable. There's a few minor items that could use improving but overall, it's great.
I like to close it and restart after adding more than one new search. It doesn't remember new searches. I've also found that it doesn't always delete the temp files or items you've deleted so a bit of housekeeping is needed every so often. A BIG bonus is that you can usually preview a movie as it comes in. As long as you've got the first bit, it'll work.I've often thought that it would be a good way to share those large collections that most folks don't want anymore. Because the program is little known, it kinda flies under the radar too.
In some countries like Italy it is still very popular. It's not as fast as torrenting of direct downloads at all, but it is and an excellent (sometimes irreplaceable) place to share and find old or non mainstream stuff, particularly classic movies. I use it once a week, at the very least.

@keab, thanks for reminding me. Yes, I've gotten a ton of old movies from The Mule, especially those campy old Sci-Fi classics. You won't find 'Amazon Women on The Moon' anywhere else. There's also a ton of excellent classic European porn, notably the softcore stuff. The French Series 'Serie Rose is hotter than any of the modern trash despite not showing any naughty bits.
I also get a ton of music. There's someone who calls himself 'Mr Yussiplay' (sp?) who assembles and shares these enormous collections of most artists. Look for 'Discumentaries' or similar.
And of course there's the hard drive choking collection of Japanese porn. Look for ipx, ipzz, jul, juq, ssis, dasd, fset, dandy, first impression, idea pocket, ssni and of course jav. Not that I download any of that stuff of course, it's just for academic interest you know.
@ethiopia of course, of course. I'm something of a scholar myself. No luck with that terms, but thanks anyway. Nowadays for music I mainly use ye olde rutracker; with a tiny little bit of luck you'll find there extensive music collections of almost anything, primorously organized with a level of detail which borderlines mental disorder.

I have a collection of vintage magazine scans in the 10's of thousands that's like that. Too bad that my 3D stuff isn't similarly well maintained.
Where does one find working servers and file links? Every emule link site I had died out years ago and to be able to search for stuff you need to have working servers connected.
Go to the eMule site. There's a page with server links. I find that 'emule sunrise' (not perfect, but real) is the most consistent, fast and stable. 176.123.5.89:4725
It has the most users and the most files.
It can take a bit to get on the server list and get Kad connected. Once you do you're golden. Read the many how-to's on the site to get your client up and running. I find that having a bunch of files downloading will help 'bootstrap' your eMule client because every download links to other servers. I also leave a bunch of files shared as this does the same thing. Just playing grab and go doesn't do much for keeping you connected in the swarm of servers and files. Files aren't on servers or file hosts that I know of, everything is hosted on people's computers which is why it's slower than regular torrents but that's also the reason that there's so much good and obscure stuff. I've read that many users deselect sharing with clients who aren't sharing so in order to get stuff, you really have to be sharing yourself. That's why my eMule is always on sharing a little. I give it 50k during the day and 200k overnight. This makes me a good guy and I find that I get decent download speeds and complete files.I almost forgot to mention. eMule was written by 'them' and it uses the secret microwave generator incorporated into our high end NVIDIA GPUs to control us. Hunter is actually one of 'them' and is running this site to amass a group of 3D nerds who are being programmed to take part in the new order as mindless minions. NVidia is, of course, controlled by 'them'.
You can also make an Google search for an updated servers.met file and update the server list pasting the resulting URL into the "update from servers.met" option.
I've now got ALL Poser-Daz items either downloaded or slowly coming in. The total is about 450 items although some likely won't complete. I'll post anything that's not already here and have already posted 20 new items.
I can't get over how popular all these older and obscure files are. I've earned over 20K points in the last week sharing this stuff. Who'da thought it?
There's a pile of old .exe files and a bunch of odd Poser items too. I'll likely zip them all up and give them away for free since I'd feel guilty charging points for items that may not work. They might make good large zips for our yearly Christmas hamper. Tomsk may be long gone but the tradition he started lives on.
