Did you ever notice how fast content form here appears on other sites that share Daz and 3D assets? I've watched and found things that I posted appeared on those other sites within 2 or 3 hours of them going live here.
That used to irritate me to no end, but that's pirates for you. If we post it, they will come.
The silver lining I guess is that if the copyright holders take it down from this site you can always check the other sites as a backup.
@Bavor some times they would be on other sites sooner then that , ppl were complaining about it happening.
Sure... like ps-ds.info, render-state, gfx-hub, topgfx, and so on...
They're a pain, often when their links (copied from our blog posts) get involved in take-downs, due to how easy to find their sites are on the "intarwebz" and easily viewed by everyone (without points/site related currency obscuring them), which provokes our link host sites to nuke the link, making it dead.
On the bright side, you can sometimes find an an item there that has a dead post here, or even find an old obscure item that isn't here.
I try to see it as a double edge sword, and if we can't prevent them, may as well put sites like that to use.
Also a bit annoying is members putting free items on the blog for points - G8F FlipFlops.
Not saying the item isn't useful just that I thought it was a general rule that free stuff should go in the Free Resources section.Yep those guys are quick sometimes.
I spotted some of my reposts on another site within hours.
Including my spelling error in the title 🙂
