I am about to post three 'one piece' outfits. Each only has one surface/material zone, so your figure either has to wear a complete outfit or none of it. You need to use dForce to get the outfits to settle and look their best BUT at least one of them is volatile, in that it is prone to exploding.
So, like a lot of other dForce garments, if your final pose has the figure's arms close to the body, make sure 'start bones from memorized pose' is ON. it is on by default.
Oher than that, they are not large files, so will work on most systems, but they are more suited to mid range or scene fillers.

Like silk, lace/sheer, thin/thick leather, ect...I havent messed with DF hair much but was considering settings for wind and head angle.
February 4, 2020 at 5:16 pm #1457344Yep, pretty much agree with most of what you are saying. In fact only this weekend I was saying to someone that since I have been using DS (from its inception pretty much) I cant believe some of the stuff that vendors sell to us and the mistakes and just bad modelling I see. Then there are things like garments that refuse to load onto a character, mats missing, seams showing and so on. Found an item the other day that was part of a clothing set but if you loaded just the item into a scene, the translation parameters were locked.
But getting back to dForce and the explosions, you can of course tweak other settings, iterations, duration, that kind of thing before tweaking the sim mat settings for garments/parts of garments.
But even easier, I stumbled across this 'fix' this morning. Bought a dress and tried it out with animation for the duration ( 30 frames ) simple 'stand to sit sim'. First explosion came at around frame 18 so I hit escape to stop the sim, moved slider back to frame where the garment was fine, changed the duration to 'animated (custom ) and this brings up a further option to set the sim range. Put in the current frame and end frame, and hit sim button again. Another explosion about ten frames later, so repeated the above and low and behold, the garment settled fine.
So I would say to anyone who reads this thread, take heed of what LivingPixels is saying, but try my remedy for a quick fix first perhaps,

February 4, 2020 at 5:21 pm #1457353I have seen packages that claim to give a surface certain real life characteristics in other programmes such as Blender, and no doubt there are some for DS but I haven't seen or tried any.
Not sure if you could copy paste the settings from one material that you know works like say silk, to another, or a primitive. Perhaps @LivingPixels will know more,

Thanks @ednacloud I've seen those. I was just hoping to see a list so it would be easy for me for compare settings and get an idea of how changes effected movement.
February 6, 2020 at 4:02 pm #1460363Thanks for the link. Will give it a good read once I fix my wifes car. I saw a Daz video where they also showed direction of division matter. So it does look like it can be a bit of a task to learn but I don't believe it to be extremely difficult just mildly

@LivingPixels is correct in that to get the most out of dForce you have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. Some of us are lucky that we have a few tools to get the image we want, so I don't have to use dForce alone to get a result. I can use Blender, or even Hexagon, plus a host of other things such as mesh grabber and fit control.In fact Blender physics might be a better way for me to go in some cases.
Its all good fun though, and if you do experiment further, don't go changing too many things at once in those surfaces settings.
