    Hi.

I imported into DAZ Studio an OBJ model that originally uses some DDS files for textures.
I am editing and changing all the textures one by one while trying to keep the original files.

My problem is that whitish and grayish colors in a DDS file (for a glass surface for example) appear black on the 3D model.
I converted the DDS files to JPG and PNG files but the results are similar.

    Could you help me?

    Thank you.

Medusa, thank you for your help.

I installed and started using the NVIDIA Texture Tools Exporter as well as the plugin for Photoshop, but I must still lack knowledge because my problem remains.

How do you suggest I separate the different layers and the mirror image?

In fact, the OBJ model is a car.
The front and rear lights among others are a single surface on which the texture DDS file that pisses me off is applied.

The NVIDIA Texture Tools actually helped me understand the composition of the DDS file: the 3 channels of the RGB layer and one alpha channel related to transparency I guess.

I tried to solve my problem by separating, editing and combining each of the layers with transparent, white or black backgrounds, in the TGA, PNG or JPG formats, and even a Cutout Opacity map, but the parts of the surface that should appear more or less transparent are still rendered black or white depending on the combinations.
