AI "art" isn't real art anyways, just stolen from the efforts and talents of real artists who put time, effort, and energy into creating the things these abominations scrape from.
So it doesn't surprise me that Daz is going all in on AI after the NFT bullshit backfired on them in a spectacular fashion.

This thing is implemented way wrong. First off, half to 3/4 of their customer base does porn renders, full-stop. I'm certain that few-to-none of them (if they're smart) are going to be all that comfortable typing "woman in three-way BDSM orgy with a goblin and a tentacled cacodemon" into DAZ' website. Not much privacy there.
Also, dirty pics aside, how comfy would you be with not even getting to pose a figure the way you want it? You just type some words, and a generic image pops out that hundreds of others will also think is theirs.
Yuck.
PS: If you haven't hoarded copies of the DS install package and made backups of your assets, you will probably want to start. I get a bad feeling about what's going to happen in the next year or two.
Oh yeah. Now is as good of a time as any to also start learning Blender and the Diffeomorphic plugin.
And for the love of all that is good and holy, start saving and sharing more items because I can already see several PAs pulling their items from the store for good.
As I said in another thread, I can guarantee you Daz is testing the waters for a subscription model for DS5. The sad fact is that there’s suckers out there who would pay for it, just like there’s talentless suckers paying for this AI slop right now.
I am guessing, Daz has trained their model organically on their Genesis X figures to avoid any scope of copyright infringement, which is otherwise possible in some of those freely available SD checkpoints. Probably, this is their only USP at this point wrt the competition. But I do not see any indemnification or any other customer protection clauses in their terms (like Anthropic), yet.
Otherwise, I do not see any other advantage to their SD as-a-service model, besides appealing to users who do not have access to modern GPUs locally.
Also IIRC Daz already had this virtual currency (Daz coins) system for bulk selling assets to enterprise customers (probably to control inflation). I wonder if they would be pushing that here as well.
