plus this will confirm that DAZ now tracks content since it's tied to an account.
If you are referring to Connect based installation then Connect only dictates the initial packaging, installation and subsequent granular (as against monolithic DIM) updates of the items.
It should be possible (at least theoretically) for someone with access, to repackage the relevant product files from connect/data/cloud folder of their primary library path. The items are neatly segregated based on the SKU Ids, retaining the conventional content folder structure. So all one needs to do is zip that SKU Id folder and reupload here.
The zip file can then be extracted just like a conventional content archive into any existing library folder.
October 12, 2024 at 12:37 am #2095140@Sandeep that’s the point.
Again, the only way to get it is to subscribe. I may be doing that soon, but it’s best that someone who buys a lot of content for here to be said user to subscribe
October 12, 2024 at 1:01 am #2095148Here's a screenshot from the official forums hinting at the actual product names appearing in DIM. Notice the "Premier" besides their names. They are probably not listed in the Daz store so public store links may not be available ...yet.
May be, someone can raise requests for those items in the Requests section here based on whatever information is available. May be, when enough people pool in their points, someone feels motivated enough to try to repackage those items and fulfill those requests.
October 12, 2024 at 1:03 am #2095149@Sandeep those are the plugins that ManFriday sold to DAZ. There’s a build a few pages back that is available to download here. Just don’t overwrite everything on the current Public Beta release since 2 updates were released since it was first uploaded here.
October 12, 2024 at 1:46 am #2095153@scoobydude51 I am a bit confused now. I already know most of these are reworked ManFriday's existing offerings and are already available for download from here. But do we have the newer reworked premier versions (public beta or otherwise) anywhere on this site? Can you provide me a link to that post(s)?
I haven't subscribed to premier, and my DIM doesn't show any updates on public beta channels even though I own some of these products from ManFriday. What are the 2 updates you are referring to?
October 12, 2024 at 2:33 am #2095161@scoobydude51 If you are referring to Anna's Public Build upload at Bunkrrr, then I don't see these plugins are available in that. The DIM screenshot clearly shows the plugins as separate products distinct from the Studio public build which I couldn't find in Anna's upload. What did I miss?
October 12, 2024 at 9:56 am #2095207So they will make a note of all Daz assets used in a render, but won't tell you items used in promo renders! :0/
October 12, 2024 at 10:08 am #2095208This likely the death knell for Daz and Studio.
Every forum is full of folks saying that they won't be buying any more, and sure as hell won't be paying for Premiere. A few will but it won't be enough to make pursuing the subscription model any further. They'll either find some face-saving way to back out of this or Tafi will finally unload Daz.
Someone with vision and an appreciation of the hobby will buy it and put it back on track by writing Studio 5 and making it the business we all know it needs to become.
...or it'll just go under for good.October 12, 2024 at 10:58 am #2095211"when you make pictures in Daz 4.23 there will be a code put into your artwork that tells what every asset you used"
I can not find any confirmation of this
October 12, 2024 at 1:31 pm #2095227Even if they were a code of some type wouldn't running it through any paint program remove it?
October 12, 2024 at 2:24 pm #2095239@av8tr, "when you make pictures in Daz 4.23 there will be a code put into your artwork that tells what every asset you used"
I just finished reading that entire thread carefully and there is NO mention of this. Please post (as a quote) this item.
@d0gg0d, The only way this much information could be embedded into a picture is by using the meta data or IPTC information. These are both well known and are child's play to access, read, and then delete if wanted.October 12, 2024 at 2:29 pm #2095240Any "code" added would most likely be just similar to what exif data on images. That if you look for it, you can see info about the image. Stable Diffusion does this on its output, and you can see all the settings used and prompts (if any were used), the seed, etc.. And that info can come in handy. You can query this info and look back to see what things were used to make it. I dont see that as being a negative thing at all. But if anyone is concerned about that, it can very easily be stripped out. Program can be written in minutes to add/delete data from the images. I've done it many times. Its not a showstopper at all.
October 12, 2024 at 3:35 pm #2095246Toon content and a possibly decent eye manipulation rig for G9? YES!
...locked behind a sub?
Ugh. I feel like they kicked me square in the cojones. Bastards.
Def. wait and see. Might just stick with G8 forever because of this.
October 12, 2024 at 4:18 pm #2095253I came to that conclusion about a year ago. 🙂
October 12, 2024 at 5:01 pm #2095258Alert:
