@gts6, The free XNView reads and modifies IPTC and Exif data. I've also found that most social media (except Tumblr so far) strips this stuff out automatically.
@ethiopia Yes, its very easily removed (or added). But I dont see it as a negative feature in any way, though. Its usually very helpful to me. I sometimes add this data to my own images, it comes in handy for a number of reasons. Especially for organization/sorting purposes. And for DAZ images in particular, it would certainly be useful to a lot of people. You can easily sort ( or filter only the images you want) by: a particular model, or by which characters are wearing a certain clothing, etc. Many possibilities.
I was a pro for decades and when digital tore through the industry we all thought that the data was a Cowsend since it meant we didn't have to annotate negative envelopes anymore. Unfortunately annotating image files was worse because the bosses demanded soooo much more information be added simply because we now had the space for it. Government policy also dictated that we keep everything we shot. This was an even huger pain because we'd been shooting tons of shots because digital meant we had the room. THAT changed quickly and we then shot as if we where using a roll of 120 film...12 shots only on a square frame.
Wow...can't believe I still remember that stuff. I still annotate my scans and ALL my own shots.
Windows 11 24H2 installs Recall as a core component which can't be turned off or deleted without stuffing up File Explorer. An app that creates and stores snapshots of my activity every few seconds is pure fuckery.... putting it mildly. I haven't seen a single person, apart from Microsoft, that thinks this is a good idea.
@Frank22 Recall can be uninstalled. there's a lot of anti-Microsoft news going around that claim that Recall is "Mandatory", which isn't the case.

I've waited so long for the ability to sculpt, and then Daz moneyhats it into a subscription service right before it gets released. I hope that they'll become accessible without the subscription someday...
It will at some point, if they don't manage to get enough people subscribing to this crap. Then they will just give it for free and brag about how generous they are, while it was just a massive failure.
@Khefrenn that’s what a lot of users are doing. Plus it’s actually worse since to upgrade, you have to contact the sales department in support, and they give you a one time price offer in exchange for a trial (after that trial ends you pay the $18/month), and if you decline, you’re locked out permanently as the button to upgrade goes away.
DAZ is literally extorting their users for money in exchange for DAZ Premier. I mentioned that it was illegal to do that, and of course, my comment was removed.
If anyone here that’s currently living in the U.S., please contact the FTC, the FBI and tell the DAZ is doing this to users.

and tell them what Daz-Tafi is doing. This is a sleazy form of coercion and is both illegal and bad business. They may tell Daz to knock it the hell off and/or take them to court. Either way, post it on their forums. It won't last long but enough people will see it. If you let us know, we can all post it on their forums. Haseltine will have his hands full deleting 20K posts.Saw this on the fourms:
