Besides smoke and fog what else can Daz volumetrics do?

I read that it's used also for liquid but there is hardly any mention of it on Daz forum. Fog and smoke are nice but I am interested in better water, wet decal and slime.

Jay Versluis (WP Guru) has a good video covering the new volumetrics in 4.20 here:

Basically, yeah you can make any closed geometry a volume, and doctor up a shader to give yourself water or sludge or ghost farts or whatever.

Disappointing that VDB is only visible in Iray.

It also sounds like interacting with the volume is going to be tricky. Not sure how wet decal or dripping slime that cling to variable surfaces would work using volumetric.
