Does anyone know the system requirements for Daz 4.10?

I do not know for sure, but they should similar to the present DS version. The most constraining aspect, a large enough memory, is due to the size of assets not to the program itself. BTW, the system requirements given on the daz3D site (2GB ram size) are clearly underestimated. Maybe you can start the program, but it will crash (or the computer will BSOD) whenever you have any real environment with a couple of chars.

And that is why I need to know.
Screwing things up is just a waste of time.

In terms of system requirements, I would say:

    • Any procesor reasonnably recent. Daz is not multithreaded and the number of processors is not very important, but faster processors are obviously better.
    • 500G disk as a minimum (but the a larger size is better and will allow to install more assets and SSD is preferred but not required)
    • At least 16G memory. You can do with a smaller size but you will be very rapidly limited. If you want to be confortable prefer 32G or 48G (or more), otherwise you risk to be restricted in the kind of scene that that you can use.
    • If you want to do photorealistic renders (iray), an nvidia GPU is highly recommanded, otherwise rendering will done on the CPU with a 10x slowdown. The internal memory of the GPU (VRAM) is the most important characteristic. 8G is a minimum, but you will be limited with the kind of scene that you can render. If you can afford it, prefer a larger VRAM.

Note that these requirements are for any version of DS and there is no real reason to use 4.10. There were several innovations since that release and you should use the present 4.20 version.
