Are there any good eyewear pack, specially for Daily Wear. Like actual reading glasses? I found a lot of sunglasses and all, but not that many eyewear for which one could wear on a daily purpose. And not in that many shapes/styles even, just a couple of really basic frames. I found one good pack Alt Style Glasses for Genesis 8 Males and Females. Which had the style I was going for but then the other problem occurred. I guess I'd have to morph it a little in blender but I want something which gives me access to the smallest of the part of the glasses.
For one, those glasses are looking too huge and as such, too weird. And then the bridge and the lenses were too huge too. I had no way to scale either of those. I am not sure if the auto fit for the glasses scale them out or not.

https://www.cgtrader.com/3d-print-models/fashion/glasses/eyeglasses-for-men-and-women-b888bbfb-fee5-4397-86f2-eff5ac53d5ddI found these 3 models. I need something either frameless or with a half frame model. Suitable for reading purposes.
I tried looking something similar for daz but couldn't find anything much. Alt Style Glasses fits my needs but without the morphs like Eyepocalypse, it's totally useless. Unless I morph it myself, which I got no clue about. Lol
April 13, 2020 at 6:33 AM #1562892@Jozefmaria Thanks a bunch for those. I couldn't think of it that I could search it through the keyword, specs. Still, the choices are so so so less than virtually available. I would have expected to see more of half framed ones but it's quite a thick framed one. I was hoping for a thin one, but nonetheless, I guess I'll make do with it because of the adjustments. The steel frame one provided me a good adjustable glasses for my character. 🙂
Love it. I am still open for more suggestions, until I find a good one I'll make do with these. They look great actually, but just personal preferences.
April 13, 2020 at 7:56 AM #1562996It had some stuff for poser. I know I could use it, but none of it was half framed or frameless at all.

Sometime you have to see in the accesories or in the promo pictures or promo product info (when it's informed, eternal problem)

And as far as sweating goes, I have done my fair share of sweating before coming in here. What/where I did never look around was in Genesis 2 or Pre genesis models. "Steel Frame" was what popped up with the specs keyword. And then, there's another in your link called "Spex for Genesis". Again, I would not know, since I never looked in older categories.
Nonetheless, they still provide far lesser varieties when it comes to frameless glasses.
A couple posts above, I shared some assets from cgtraderThe problem with that was, first, I would have to morph them myself, and second, I might also have to do whatever needs done to apply different textures. I don't know how hard/difficult that would be, because I am still a beginner at this and haven't tried assets from outside Daz. (Where I would need to model it in other software and use in Daz) Which would be too much work. But then, if I want the perfect look I would need to dwell into it further, soon.
That post had 3 assets, one of which is frameless. And 2 are half framed. If you don't know what those are, please google them. You'll find plenty. I'll try Spex for genesis since it mentions that the styles can be mixed together.
April 13, 2020 at 12:09 PM #1563296I'm not sure I understood everything (i think i understood almost everything).. English is not my first language
You seem to have very specific requests that you might need to adapt to your 3D abilities. (and I'm far from being the specialist).
lack of thrushes we eat blackbirds
Nothing is simple in 3D, you have to learn little by little. To adapt old accesories to new characters (genesis 8)... use x y z translation and scale (if I well understand it)
As far as textures, shaders, there is plenty to satisfy you in shaders and co products.
You will find many tutorials and explanations on daz forum or deviant art (how to use it)
I pass to the hand for the rest to someone more competent to give you the proper instructions.
I even have my own concern
Keep it up.April 13, 2020 at 12:16 PM #1563300if you don't find the right glasses you want in 3d website like zonegfx or others ones.
I see only one way, is to buy it. (you still have to go through it sometimes)
🙂April 13, 2020 at 12:26 PM #1563308when i said "lack of thrushes we eat blackbirds"
it mean "Half a loaf is better than no bread"
it mean "you have to make do with what you have"April 13, 2020 at 12:29 PM #1563315Damn. It didn't post my last message. Nonetheless, I got you man.
And yes, I'll be looking into it more, once I have finished with this piece. I was looking for a Daz only option for now, so yes. I'll stick with what I have got and made to work for now. Thanks a lot for all the advices and links Pheornik. Have a nice day ahead mate.
April 13, 2020 at 12:42 PM #1563335you're welcome and I'm sorry I can't help you anymore.
Between the idea of a project, and its realization, there are always transformations, it's an almost inevitable fact. Good luck -
