LAMH and Catalyzer both suck . My system should be able to handle both but they both keep crashing DAZ. Sick of it. IF, and thats a big IF, LAMH works, it takes 30 minutes to convert a single animal into an obj. And even then, it still crashes Daz most of the time. Its always a hit and miss. It should all be converted to dForce. And now every time I hit Render for Catalyzer, CRASH.. WTF?
And yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled and have updated versions. Both are crap.December 21, 2019 at 6:33 PM #1387876If I could get the job done there wouldnt be an issue. My issue is the fact that they CANT.
December 21, 2019 at 6:43 PM #1387887Well, DazStudio's price point couldn't be better.
In all honesty, I can't understand why Poser is still limping along behind, especially as it is a relatively costly piece of software. 😉
December 21, 2019 at 8:12 PM #1388012I really don't have an issue with DS. Just the plugins for it.
December 21, 2019 at 8:45 PM #1388066Not entirely sure what the issue is. I've been using LAMH (the actual paid for version) for a long time, and I've never had it crash or otherwise break DAZ. Granted, DAZ is a resource hog, and depending on hardware, there might be issues. Note that LAMH does NOT utilize the GPU - it uses CPU / RAM, which may lead to differing results from other uses of DAZ.

It should still not crash while running LAMH, but speed-wise, it'll probably be working for a while. As for why it's crashing, that might have plenty of other reasons other than DAZ itself, but yes, DAZ is a horrible hosh-posh of crappy code and idiotic descicions, which could really do with a complete rewrite.
December 22, 2019 at 12:49 AM #1388299What hard drive are you using for cache @errihl and @drgnmztr, plus what is LAMH? I wanna try, and see if i can reproduce dragon's results, or Errilhl's.
