    So long story short. This morning I decided to delete some programs that I rarely use. The 1st program was Logitech Webcam Software. As it began to uninstall somehow all my files on desktop went missing and when the system restarted, i am now unable to log on to my ID. Right now I am in SAFE MODE but I still cannot access any of my documents folder or desktop folders which is weird. Now when I logon in SAFE mode, i get this
    "new profile service" You have been logged on with the default profile for the system. Please see the event log for detials or contact the system administrator.
    I am the admin and there is just this one user name. Yet somehow it doesnt let me access anything.
    I tried few solutions from google search. I created an elevated Administrator account to somehow try to get into my documents. But NOPE. No access.
    I went to registry and tweaked a few things as suggested but nothing.
    Bear in mind I still use Windows 7.. ye ye ye...i know i know...
    So can anyone suggest me how to fix this? Getting on my nerves now!! Did someone encounter this problem before? I cannot for my life imagine thinking there is no workaround. I will be devastated. Just too much tonnes of DAZ content. Luckily the explorer does show tha available space just like before, that makes me believe I have all the data intact.

    Please advise guys...

    @sheilakatounis
    I also use Windows 7 on ALL my systems and have never come across this before.
    I have been building, installing and maintaining systems for over 25 years.
    You should be able to put the drive in another computer and get all you data off the drive if you can't fix the problem.

    Have a look at this,

    Was thinking along the same line.
    Remove current C drive from the system ( remove the hardware)
    Take an othe HD, Instal Windos, refit old HD in PC. It should turn up As D:/ ( or any other letter but C.)
    You should be able to get to all data then.
    Maybey make a back up of the registry before you remove C drive. With a bit of luck you can import that to fresh instal, and good change if you move the programs folder from D to C all your software will still work without reinstall
