Hello friends. Does anyone know if we use these products and characters in short animations and publish them on Instagram or YouTube, they will be deleted for copyright infringement? I want to create a page soon and make short animations, but I'm worried that Instagram will delete them because of copyright infringement. What can I do to prevent this from happening?
August 7, 2019 at 10:10 PM #1193533It will not be considered copyright infringement. When you buy the product you pay for the right to use the product but you can't claim to be the product creator. Just like software, you pay for the software and the right to use the software but the content on the disc remains the creator's.
August 7, 2019 at 10:22 PM #1193541Thanks, but I mean the products inside this site! Which we use without paying. For example, if I use a shared figure, a dress, or a trouser of different products in combination, would it be a copyright infringement on Instagram? Or if the owner of those products notices and reports, Instagram will react
August 7, 2019 at 10:26 PM #1193545If you are going to be making money off of what you get from here then just buy it and use it as you wish.
August 7, 2019 at 10:37 PM #1193550Of course I'm going to do that, but I want to know if there is any way I can progress in this way! If I could make several animations to make my page popular and earn money, I would definitely buy the products. But I want to know how will be on Instagram the use of products shared on this site right now?
I don't think everyone is here for fun
so in what context are all the users who use these products here for free?
Do the users here change the look of these products to make it unclear exactly what the product is,to escape copyright infringement? I need the practical experience of someone who has gone this route, especially on InstagramAugust 7, 2019 at 11:02 PM #1193572Instead of using Instagram or YouTube, another alternative is Deviant Art (particularly if it is of adult nature)...and as far as copyright is concerned, I'm thinking that you have to get a commercial license from the content creator if you are planning on making money with it...
August 8, 2019 at 1:55 AM #1193721The products on here is not "yours" to use, that is correct. However, the finished renders ARE yours, and noone can know how you made them (whether with pirated software or not). So no, you will not be under any kind of "copyright infringement", and you can freely post your animations and art.

Thank you. I was looking forward to hearing this. You made my day! lol
ThanksAugust 8, 2019 at 5:49 AM #1193878So if a person made ape world with the new G8 ape people and published it as a movie. The creator of G8 apes could not challenge the use of his apes in a movie? For what purpose is a license sold on charaters if there is no reason to pay extra?
The copyright laws seem a bit confusing. If it were to go to court and no trail existed proving a purchase day AND it could be proven the apes were obviously "ape world" why couldn't a suit be filed and won?My understanding of photography is if I do not have a release on an a model I can not use that picture to make money. It is my photograph but the likeness isnt mine.
Heck, there were Mods for Skyrim to turn it into LotR shut down because of copyrights and stinks over Daz Super Hero characters.
Yet lightsabers and stormtrooper armor are sold.August 8, 2019 at 6:28 AM #1193910The license for DAZ models give you the right to use the models in artwork. It just doesn't allow you to release the MESH (the actual 3D model) in a product (like a real-time 3D-game). For THAT, you need the extended license. A movie doesn't actually relese the mesh, so it's perfectly fine.
August 8, 2019 at 8:00 AM #1194029in other word, you aren't permitted to pack it into other product (like game) that then you call its as your product, but said, you make an Visual Novel (i picked this example as this is the nearest with real 3D game), it will not invoke the copyright infringement as in Visual Novel, you only distribute your render work (which depending on your country law is also automatically protected by recognition that it is your work < I don't call it copyright yet, because in some country you need to register your work so it become copyright protected) and not an actual 3d asset (duf, obj,or whatever 3d format it is that use or alter the original asset)
August 8, 2019 at 1:54 PM #1194365Thanks for the break down. Clears most things up. If the 3d content includes tge right to use it 8b a purchase but you have no way of proving you made that purchase, what then? If my Ape movie makes 2 million from donations and ads maybe the vender gets pissy and wants a piece. Unless I can provide proof of purchase with the right to use, what could happen?
August 9, 2019 at 11:03 PM #1196192In a nutshell, read LP's post. LOL
Here's the thing. Daz doesn't sell to just hobbyists. They sell to pros also and they know this and know pros go out and sell their work. Stop with the paranoia . Daz, nor its content creators, are going to come after anyone unless you don't have an interactive license as stated above. They actually have videos ENCOURAGING you to sell your work.
However, here's something to think about. Don't use your real name or anything identifiable to YOU, here or any other share site.
If questioned about who you are at Daz, say you keep that private from other accounts that you use to post your work with your real name or public identity. You have your reasons and thats that. Its nobodys business. There's also, I borrowed a friends computer.
I got stuff on a used computer or HD I bought on Ebay or OfferUp, garage sale.
Its my girlfriends.Seriously. Unless you come out and say, my name is Joe Blow and Pirated all of it, there's no way for Daz or content creators to prove anything.
There is NO Copyright Infringement selling a visual image or images you created.
