There are copies of Darkhound's G3F to G8F morph converter in the wild.
Is anyone else getting an 'Index Out of Range' error with it, please?

I haven't got the chance to take it for a spin yet. I'd accumulated a bit a backlog and have been occupied with that.
I'll give it a whirl later tonight, or during the day tomorrow, and report back to you with my findings!

@eelgoo So, I managed to get past the out of range errors. I got those too initially, but used the OBJ export settings in the base_files folder, and successfully exported the OBJ.
However, when I tried to load the new morph, I keep getting the same "geometry doesn't match" error. At the moment I haven't managed to figure out how to resolve this, but may give it another go later.
OK...Sounds like you got a bit further than I did.
Given that they are trying to sell it, you would have thought it would have been a bit more user friendly.

Anyway it was Redz tutorial that was free. I got it from the DAZ forums.
It took 5 minutes to transfer morphs from G3 to G8 IN DS.
