Well, stepping into ghost town with a request for some help. Just picked up a V3 uniform I've been seeking for a long time and wondering if there is an easy and accurate(ish) way to convert it for G8F?

Depends - do you have CrossDresser (otherwise known as XD)? You can use XD to convert it to a V4 outfit, then autofit from there. As a bonus, XD will add fitting and adjustment morphs along the way if you want them.
I think it might still be floating around out on the Interwebs in Pirate-Land as well, but it appears to still be fore sale too.
