Exiting warp Zuries usual nervousness about the potential of a routing error subsided, they were definitely in Ixtansis local, but it was quickly replaced by a growing dread as the silence became apparent.
There was no comms chatter at all, no flight acknowledgement, no hub handshake protocols, nothing. Scanning up and down the full spectrum of potential emissions showed no signs of activity at any level. Something was very wrong.
‘Zut alors!’ came a muffled exclamation from Bastien in the co-pilot seat to her left as he pushed his screen to hers. Seeing what he had seen Zurie immediately powered down the ship, coming to a stop and began silent running, fully stealthed.
‘Get the others’ she told him, even as he was out of his seat and moving towards the flight deck exit.
Jared was already making his way forward from engineering meeting Bastien outside the med bay. ‘Trouble?’ he said.
‘Qui, un énorme problème inconnu’ Bastien grunted in reply as he swung past and onwards towards the training area where he knew Lavana would be.

Thought I'd have some fun with the Power Rangers. And imagine a good movie would actually come out... hehe.
So in a fictional universe, James Cameron made a legit Power Rangers Movie!
Coughing on his own blood, Red begins to mutter... "Time.. cough*"
"Time has this.. funny.. way of... cough* cough*.. of slipping away on you."
"Its only when you.. have lost... everyone, that you begin to fully realize how important it is."
"Thats why... I must... go back."
This is a quote, that was spoken in the Teaser Trailer, by Red, the last living Ranger.
PS: Glad there was an extension, didn't notice this contest going on, until a few hrs ago. Hope you guys like my poster!
PPS: If this is too dark, please someone let me know and i'll upload another that has a better gamma value. Buddy said it was a pinch on the dark side (which was my intent, to add mystery). so if some peoples monitors aren't showing this correctly let me know.
PPPS: The four characters are Red Ranger in foreground, then mist the yellow ranger, that is hiding on the left side of the poster, the Green Ranger that is downed near the stair well, and the pilot of the giant robot in the background makes the forth.
Trailer Description:Black screen.
VO (Thalia Amiri) "I used to work for Angel Acquisitons. Industrial espionage. I was good."
Thalia (Athana Marinakis) in a black suit walks into a room full of heavily-armed goons. Close up on her smirking face as she unsheathes a knife from her side.
VO (Thalia) "Too good, as it turns out."
Thalia walking out of a room covered in fallen goons. Cut to the floor in front of her exploding with electricity, autocannons and all manner of horrible technologies.
MAYHEW stands above her with a smirk on his face.
Cut to Thalia in a hospital, being fitted with the cybernetic parts of her head, her shoulders are covered with bandages and missing their arms.
VO (Thalia)"They took something from me."
Cut to a neon-lit room in a warehouse where Nana (Maya Sichi), a glitching prototype gynoid is leaning on her halberd and making a dismissive gesture. Around her we see the other three members of the team: heavyset weapons master Kyla "Minefield" Sheffield (Mariah Simms), heavily-converted street-fighting cyborg Jenny Johns (Rosaleen O'Brien), and Nana's imposing bodyguard Umika Kobayashi (Kimiko Takeshi). They look unimpressed as Thalia paces in front of them.
"Just like they took something from you. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. Nobody takes on a job like this for any reason but revenge."
VO (Jenny): "I used to do their IT. Apparently I saw something I shouldn't."
Jenny in a cramped hacker's den, being electrocuted through the cord she's using to plug her head into a computer.
"If I can fry them back, I'm in."
Cut to Jenny staring straight at a computer in a server farm as its screen starts going weird, windows opening and closing at a frightening pace. Nana taps her shoulder and nearly gets her head taken off as Nana's fists strike out without Jenny even looking.
Nana gives her a "WTF" look.
Jenny grimaces and rubs the back of her neck. "Sorry. Wound up a little tight."
VO (Nana) "Angel Acquisitions bought the company that made me. They keep trying to collect me. I'd love to 'collect' something from them first."
Outside on a city street, Nana does a V-sign idol pose at a couple of private security guards before leaping at them and catching them in the necks with the handle of her halberd.
Cut back to the warehouse where Thalia is looking up at Umika. "What about you?"
Back to that city street where an unseen security guard falls to the ground in front of Nana. We pan up to Kyla, who pistolwhips another security guard in the neck.
In the warehouse, Umika gestures to Nana. "I watch her back."
Cut to a streetfight where Umika shoots a couple people away as Nana vaults off her shoulders and does some middling martial arts stuff to a couple more guards as Umika slaps the gun out of another guard's hand.
Warehouse: Thalia looks up at Kyla. "And you?"
A blasted landscape where Kyla is blasting away a bunch of soldiers; a shadow falls over her and we see an Angel Acquisitions tank looming over her. Kyla's eyes go wide and she slumps to the ground and we see Thalia pulling a knife out of Kyla's back.
"You told them where to find my team. I was lucky to survive."
"Oh. Sorry?"
"You didn't sign the checks. Right?"
Cut to John Mayhew (Geoffrey Reidman), smirking as he hands a pile of credits to Thalia.
"...Right. So you don't have a problem with working with me?"
Cut to Kyla holding her big ol' cannon on Thalia before turning away and exploding a looming enforcer bot.
"You're a lot lower on the list than your old boss."
Umika leans against a wall. "So what's the job?"
Pan up the tall office building that is Angel Acquisitions HQ.
Cut to Mayhew's office on the top floor of Angel Acquisitions HQ, smoking a cigar as he looks over the city beneath him.
"Simple. We shut down their new security, head to the top floor, and we kill the bossman."
Nana: "This is too many people to kill a man. What aren't you telling us?"
Thalia hits a button on her head, revealing that the metal part of her head is empty. "They took more than my arms. The new security system, ERGO SUM, is based around the brain of the best spy Angel Acquisitions ever employed."
Smash-cut to a glitchy, digitized version of Thalia's face appearing in the window beside Mayhew, looking out at the city below.
VO (Thalia) "So I need the wildest, most desperate minds possible if I'm going to kick my ass."
Quick supercut of explosions, fights, and running from lasers, miniguns and the like.
In Mayhew's office, we see him staring down at chaotic security footage. MAYHEW turns to Holo-Thalia. "This is too much. What's she even hoping to achieve?!"
Cut to a darkened corridor inside Angel Acquisitions HQ, where Holo-Thalia's projection and Thalia are circling each other.
Holo-Thalia: "This is stupid, Thalia. Give up. If you were thinking rationally, you'd have won by now."
Thalia: "I guess I got the good half of our brain. Because _I_ remember that it's not enough to win."
Holo-Thalia smirks: "Someone else has to lose, huh?"
Smash cut to the title: ZER0 SUM
Cut to Thalia and her assistant standing in Thalia's makeshift office, looking out at the four who've volunteered to come along on this venture.
Assistant: "This is the best money can buy?"
Thalia: "Well, it's the best my money can buy."
