Is it just me, or is this bundle kind-of bullshit?
https://www.daz3d.com/conrad-bundle-for-genesis-81-maleOfficial Daz characters aside, since when did HD-Add On's become separate from the character? Since when has fibermesh body hair, extra eye colors, and tattoos not been included with the base character?
I get having the poses seperate, but this sets a horrible precedence. Hopefully this is just a Faber thing and other artists don't follow suit by taking apart their characters and selling the stuff individually when it should be included in the base character.

Taking an outfit that would normally sell for $20, give or take, and breaking it up into 4 pieces. Then sell the 4 pieces for $7 each...or buy the "bundle" for $22. Complete sham! Hopefully it doesn't last too long.

THE MAKER OF THIS BUNDLE "FABER_INC" is the ACTUAL GUY WHO MAKES THE DAZ CORE CHARACTERS !!!This isn't a DAZ idea, it is the VENDOR who makes all the MALE CORE characters (Hans, Ebenezer, Kento, Kenji, up to the current ones) trying to release the characters DAZ REFUSED TO USE -- mainly because they refuse most of his ETHNIC characters; meaning Blacks and Latinos. The last black character he made for Daz they REFUSED saying they had enough BLACKS. So he turned the beautiful black male he made into a Green/Blue skinned alien called OZIAS!
This is the reason he made an HD-Add On for his own character.
For a VENDOR trying to show the Daz world: HEY DAZ WON'T SELL MY BLACK GUYS AS CORE - I think it is wonderful he released him on his own. Daz Racism be damned.
I bought this bundle IMMEDIATELY as I own EVERY ONE OF FABER_INC's beautiful characters and poses, because he does the best work of all the vendors at Daz. That is why Daz got him to make their CORE Figures, because he is that damned good -- but he is NOT DAZ3D, he isn't their EMPLOYEE either - he does it as an external contract for the CORE figures, this is HIM as a VENDOR trying to get a beautiful BLACK MALE character out there so we can have this brilliant piece of work - as DAZ won't let him put it out there under their "label". Get it?
Why you guys are bitching about this beautiful release is BEYOND WORDS.
I love this Vendor, and to see you guys shit-talk his bundle (which if you have Daz Plus it drops below $30 - is infuriating to me.

With Daz releasing 28 females to 1 EUNUCH (male without genital textures), don't you have enough female characters??? I personally as a woman want to see decent MALES who actually come with their EQUIPMENT intact, but Daz doesn't give us that at all. It's str8 males who get the best end of the stick from Daz, tons of female characters. Every single day, I don't need to spend ANY money on male anything - cause Daz releases so little of it.
I'm glad FABER_INC released this guy, he is decent looking, very well made and has lots of options. And he isn't dickless like most of Daz's males are.
Tell me I am wrong about Daz releasing at least 4 new female characters a day...

AnjaBear@ethiopia Watching the attacks on 3DUK and other vendors making fanart stuff, by the community here destroying them openly - is going to make them STOP creating stuff we want. It's not our place as Pirates to point out they are copyright infringing - we shouldn't give a damn, we should want them to keep making stuff we can either BUY or share among us. Not destroy or humiliate them in public.
The great vendors who once made stuff at Daz have literally stopped making great stuff as they were humiliated publicly and those posts here, are visible on Google, so they can read them.
I want to support FABER_INC so I will not be sharing his products here. But someone else can.

AnjaBearWrong MOD! Daz makes the decision on how releases are done. Whether it is their actual item, a vendor's release or one that they paid for on a commission, the result is the same. Daz decides when it gets released and how it gets released. The fact that it is released at Daz makess it a Daz item. Daz has decided to utilize this ridiculous new method of bundling. Renderosity has similar methods of controlling vendor pricing and release strategies.
BTW, read MY post. I said nothing about the quality of the figure or the benefits of having another male character. I actually like it. My complaint had to do with the bundling, period. Then to be attacked for voicing my opinion on the bundling (NOT the figure)seems a bit uncalled for and out of character.
I get that it's a vendor. Didn't know why he did it, but the way he did do it is fine, so long as the prices are reasonable in comparison.
Some random thoughts:
* Top of the list, I'm guessing that none of us knew any of the backstory - did he post it somewhere?
* It might be worth the price, but most of the buying public will compare it to peer products and purchase accordingly. At first blush, I don't see the value prop myself, but I usually don't buy stuff at DAZ anyway unless it's made of unobtanium. The guy might be great, but for $41, I can get something close-enough and push verts and/or whack it around in CS to get what I want (I do that anyway, so.)
* The (default) un-penised male figures/characters have been a thing at DAZ since DAZ was founded. This cannot be a surprise to anyone who has been around awhile. Renderotica has far superior solutions for the Ken-doll Syndrome. They also have superior solutions for adding a far superior vajajay to the female figures as well, if that's your thing. I stopped caring about that long ago, when Renderotica started filling the void left wide open in the market.

Yes, and I'll go even further by saying that it is real obvious that none of us here have clean hands in the Intellectual Property realm.
However, there is a difference between people like Shinteo, who does game rips/wraps honestly and openly, and 3DUK who rips game meshes, sells the result, but pretends like he's pure.
@anjabear I never said the quality of the product wasn't good. I said that I don't like the separation and charging extra for stuff that's normally not separated.
If I were to buy say a $20 (CAD) character from Emrys or Mousso, I'm going to get all the Fibermesh hair, the extra eye colors, HD (if it is made that way) and anything as that they create with that character. I won't have to spend $20 on the character, then $10 on the HD Add-On, then $10 on a detail Add-On.
I'm not sure if it was Faber or Daz who decided to split the product, but whomever it was, I still think it sets a bad precedence. Especially since, as you have said, there aren't a lot male characters created in comparison to females.
Yes, I am a pirate, but there are some creators who I do my best to support as I really love their work. If those creators start splitting their products and end up nearly doubling the price to get what I once got for 1/2, then it means I either have to stop supporting that creator, or limit my support of others.
I almost never render males and at least half of my characters on games are female. I rather like looking at women so it doesn't bother me.
While I like a few of his rips the only difference between us is he makes money off someone else's content and puts some effort towards doing so.
I make 0 money off this and really don't mind paying a little money every so often for the enjoyment. Him getting pissy because we share content he openly steals and makes money off of is stupid. Sure, he puts some effort towards it but not as much effort as the actual creators.
Like another person here, I considered reporting him and decided it would affect all the artist there as well as affect the community here, so I didn't do it. If anything is for sure Mick the Rat is anal about infringement.
He should be content that his theft brings him some cash. I might buy 2 of his products at best and the others don't interest me so he loses nothing. If I DL his stuff it will sit on one of my drives as digital overflow. I've yet to use one of his products in a render.
If he wants to be an asshat he should contact the people, he steals from and pay the rights to post the content. If he can't get permission, he should take the content down or post it for free like thousands of people that make mods for games.
I've got no real dog in the fight just telling him my opinion if he happens to read this.

Since when have "MODS" started adding their Thoughts to a members posts on the forums, i have never seen this before and is out of order, abuse of power perhaps ??
