So, you're the one to ask (or blame) for the lights when the blue screen scenes come in my hands for post... I didn't think that there were dragons and gold lairs in Hobbit...
Although nowadays I'm more into Metahuman, because their birthplace company is in my hometown, so we cooperate in MoCap, AR and VR stuff via Microsoft hololens. So, no heavy HDRI need for me atm.That's why I bid on characters mostly. And some Blender/UE plugins.
I mean I could STFU and just download from sister sites. I come here for the forum.

Im approaching 60 and if life taught me anything it is to enjoy the simple things because most of life is sh!t.
I know if I spent a week perfecting an environment and the day after it released it was pirated, I'd reconsider my life choices. Especially considering these guys dont make anything close to what movies bring in.
Do you think people would post here if points were to go away?
I would LOVE to see points be cancelled for say six months and see what happens. Make it mandatory to post something new maybe every six months in order to download. The regular posters would continue but all the parasites would leave save a few who would cough up and start contributing.
Or maybe just the 100 free pts per day (not points for sharing/filling). Free points only encourages freeloading without contributing anything.
New accounts would need to start at 0 or we'd have a flood of new accounts. Really wouldn't matter much since everything would migrate to different sites.
Is pirating about expecting a return?
Ive never uploaded a movie but ive downloaded many. I might have uploaded music but if I did its been long enough for me to forget. I remember sharing naughty stuff back when dialup was a thing and even copied a few books.
I DL several movies a week, naughty and otherwise. The "clean" ones are mostly those I already have on DVD but too lazy to covert to MP4, so I can watch them on my TV via USB.
I wonder if DLing movies you have already bought and own is considered pirating/illegal since I've already paid for it? I grab a lot of porn. It's mostly older stuff and JAV. I only keep one out of every few hundred since there's so much crap. I'm sharing the good stuff, or what I consider good, on the Emule network.
People posted on KAT for no points. So sure, people would still post here. Not as many tho.
And people have a lot of points here (the "rich") mostly because they fill requests. The fillers are the life blood of this site. And for some crazy reason, they often get crapped on by those who happily d/l their shares either here from the blog or from a leech site that "borrowed" their shares from here.
I've given points to posters who ask for help who are courteous and sincere. Lots of times, people will ask how they can get more points and they'll end up with 10K or more points from others here who just donate it to them.

I share to share, points aren't the goal.
The goal is sharing so others share to.We would all go bankrupt if all the items we poses have to be bought. But because we all buy a few items, and share, we have nice libraries filled with all kinds of goodies.
Even if you do not contribute you get 36.500 points per year for just login in on a daily basis.
So contribute, or be patient and save up.
