This has been going on since the very start of the site and sadly I don't think you can do much about it apart from what you describe. It won't stop people sharing the stuff you posted once they DL it but it will stop your link being shared. Maybe more people should be doing this.

250 older files have been deleted from Bunkr (should be a pain in the ass In Russia)
20 files have been deleted in Media Fire
25 files have been deleted Mega.
Can't stop what happened before, but can make it harder going
forwardI actually went to the mirror to see what color "Stupid"
was written in on my forehead!!!!!(Purple)Love to all
October 18, 2024 at 8:25 pm #2096437What does "post anonymously" mean?
October 18, 2024 at 9:06 pm #2096442post anonymously
You fill the request, there are two boxes at the top, uncheck them.
Your "fill" will not through to the main thread (All Posts)
Good part is done anonymously, no responsibility for later.
Bad... news is that you do not get the Public points (25 pts apiece)From what I understand, RenderHub and Renderosity had no problems
with "private" postings
It is when their items were going into the wild.
Which I am starting to understand!!!g
October 18, 2024 at 11:04 pm #2096450Have to say I'm not short of points, but as I can't work I really can't afford to buy items. What I will do is trawl other sites, and if I find something that's not on here then I'll grab it and post it her... Not for the points but for the share.
I'll also update dead posts where I can but I'll never bid low on something I really wantOctober 18, 2024 at 11:07 pm #2096451Are you saying that fills automatically get posted to All Posts? I didn't know that happened.
October 18, 2024 at 11:22 pm #2096453The last time this happened I suggested that we ('we' know who 'we' are) share privately for a couple of months to both make the sea of non-contributing parasites appreciate where this free stuff comes from, and to kick the leech sites in the nuts. When the releases stopped on those sites it would make people take notice. We would post images in the forum of what was being shared.

Isn't filling a request anonymously the same as privately sharing, but still gets leaked. Our honor system relies on our members being honest.October 19, 2024 at 12:14 am #2096457I have seen release of posted items is standard 7 days. I do not know if it is possible to adjust that as OP. Still would have that fact that leeches will upload elsewhere. But if the wait is bumped up to a month, month and half, I think a lot will not wait that long.
At least there would be a "dry spell" for 4 to 6 weeks everywhere elseOctober 19, 2024 at 12:43 am #2096458"If you leave the ✅ ON at the "Schedule Blog Post + X Days" option, your fill will be publicly available on the blog after the set X Days."
OP can adjust X ranging 2-30 days.
If you untick ✅, it won't be posted at all in the "upcoming post" section or on the blog.
Problem is that anyone who got the fill can fill the request for that item if it appears in request section again and leave the checkbox ticked on default (2 days), so it gets posted on the blog.
Or simply post it instantly the same day via "Submit post".Basically we can't do much about it. Before this request system we could choose who we send fills to, so it was kinda elitist, because fills circulated among trusted members. Neither system is great.
That's why I personally fill requests anonymously (unticked) and on blog I only post items that are already leaked elsewhere or repost dead posts. Nothing more.
But that's me, I'm not point hunter. Many others are.
I've spent 400k points in last 2 months because I had to rebuild my DAZ library from scratch... And still making requests and adding points for requests...Forgot where I was going with this, it's late and my head is like a beehive lol.

Sorry for the heinous laughter!!!To elaborate, when you fill a request those boxes at stop control how long
it will be before the public can download it. To address point Ethiopia pointed out you can purchase a new item and set the post days/weeks in advance. With a new item it gives
the artist a window in which to make his money.
As stated if you do not check the boxes it never goes public
Now
Part of the problem is due to circumstances. I purchase an item from RenderHUb./Renderosity
I must do a few things. 1. Use detracting 2. Post link to Bunkr
Otherwise I am eventually banned/
I fill requests with lots of point/users. Many do not want to use or are unable
to use bunkr. I will not provide another link (for reasons mentioned)
Those that use bunkr download my link and reupload/repost it.
In some cases they do it to help. in other cases they get points on my purchase.
Then they post it public using my original link.....subjecting me to problems
This is a piracy site, I never expected much
Our honor system relies on our members being honest.....really?October 19, 2024 at 2:43 am #2096464Frank 21

October 19, 2024 at 3:22 am #2096466Well there are at least a couple accounts here that are from sister sites. Seriously doubt they would be courteous enough to follow house rules.
