It may have more to do with the fact that your computer may not be retaining cookies. I use Chrome - on a 'portable' setup (this installation isn't actually installed on the computer, just on a portable 'key') - and I've been getting captcha for about the last week now. I haven't tried it on the computer's permanent installation yet... Do I like it? Not particularly. Is it annoying? Most definitely! Will it keep me from coming here? It may reduce the number of weekly visits I make, but I won't quit coming here. Too many good people sharing a LOT of good stuff...maybe that will save some of my cable bandwidth... naaaaah 😀

It's a VPN issue and specifically it's the IP address of the server you're connected through. I get it on ExpressVPN sometimes - every now and again they change the server IP (which means for a time I can watch Amazon Prime without having to disconnect). If the IP address gets blacklisted then it'll be picked up by Cloudflare. It's the price we must pay when using an VPN - live with it.

You can try a browser addon called 'Privacy Pass' - this 'registers' the browser and provides pre-approved access tokens (around 30ish for Cloudflare and 5 or so for hCaptcha). It's not 100% perfect but does help.

Yeah, it's become a pain over the last few days asking over and over and over again

@Duval99 is explicitly not a VPN issue, I don't use one and suffer, I think @tony0558 may be onto something with cookies.

I use Firefox and I know it defaults to a lot of anti - tracking measures.

In other news, site re-design looks great! Couldn't possiblybe realted could it?

Cloudflare show captcha ... they show it depend on IP behavior ...
As the site fresh ... and send lot of request ... cloudflare show captcha ... after few days capta rate will be low ... then it will show once in 2 to 3 days.
Also if your PC have any kind of malware and try to send too many request ... then cloudflare show captcha ...

Also if you are using public IP/ VPN/ Proxy/ Dynamic IP ... then you will see captcha ...
Cloudflare block ddos attack ... or brutal force attack.
If i turn off cloudflare i start getting thousand of bot trying to login using random user name and password 🙁

I see it once in awhile, but I use a VPN, and I use nearly every conceivable anti-script, anti-cookie, anti-lots-of-stuff on my browser... so I expect to see it fairly often.

That said, ZG only rarely bugs me with one. I saw one this morning when I popped in to find the site had changed (nice update, BTW.)

Yup, we had these a few months back, then it got back to normal (no captchas), and now this week it's there every time I visit, including the very entertaining "click on pictures with boats" puzzle bullshit... lots of fun with the kids, they love it. I use a VPN (as should you). But still, something changed a few days ago at Cloudflare that causes this to happen to a lot of us obviously.

The captcha problem started before the site redesign. I have no malware and my static IP is not blacklisted. If the problem is Cloudflare then shout at them to fix it.

Happens with me constantly as well and I am not on a VPN, also I have Privacy Pass on my browser and that "should" bypass the "click on a boat" bullshit. so something is not right on the site end.

    No issue with other sites.

Ok, one @fathead2016, you should definitely be on a PAID VPN for your own safety. Like, stop going to this website. Seriously, stop until you get a good vpn like ExpressVPN.

Secondly, I used to have privacy pass but it just doesn't work, periodically if you hit skip it may allow you to bypass it.

Privacy Pass has always worked for me on this site in the past.

I am just letting Admin that I like some others are always getting the whole captcha. If no one tells them these things they are unlikely to find out themselves, at least that is the way I find out issues with my sites.

I have no need of a VPN, because you do not know what my exact setup is, you just assume I have a simple one computer setup, I can assure you that you are very wrong.

I also am not happy with your tone - I don't tell you what to do - get my point?

I don't use a VPN... to me, they are more trouble than I wish to deal with. Still think it boils down to cookies - portableApps typically won't retain them, so I deal with captcha when I come here. As long as I stay active while my browser has the zone on it, I don't have too many problems - otherwise I get the 're-submit information', like the site is trying to log me out...

Yeah, it can be annoying. But here's the thing; this site lets you download quality stuff for just 50 points each. And they GIVE you the points.
    Don't really see the problem!
