    Hello,

I have tons of items/posts/models that I purchased with points that I can no longer download from the page site. It requires me to pay 50 points for example even though I bought it in the past. Why is this happening? No way it only lets you buy it and download it once then you have to buy it again. That's ridiculous if so.

Please let me know if there is something I'm missing here. My purchase history clearly shows all the items I've bought in the past.

    Thanks.

You can download more than once ,but only for a limited time ,maybe a week? I'm not sure .If you have the space to store on line like I do I keep all the zip files on Mega that I've downloaded. Also handy If something becomes a dead post you can re-up load it and get more points.

I think the expiration time is one month.
When I do not want to download immediately something that I purchased for some reason, I just write down the URL of the DL link in a text file in order to use it later (and I hope that it will still be alive).

This is a pirate site, you're getting pricey items for free. It operates on a shoestring budget and many of us send money to the operator to pay for bandwidth. You can't expect the place to operate like a regular site...it doesn't and it won't. You got stuff for free, it's up to you to store it. Buy another harddrive or a portable drive.

Like everyone else has said... external hard drives are cheap. I recently scored a 12TB external disk for less than $200 USD that will keep all my stuff and all the stuff I'll ever download for the next 3-5 years.

@pooper, something I discovered after losing a NAS unit is that keeping it simple is best. For at home storage/backup, we don't need the speed of a NAS and the controller adds another layer of possible failure. It's recommended to use simple portable drives or discrete drives in drive caddies. Sabrent brand is considered to be the most reliable. Even if the controller dies, the individual drives are still regular ol NTFS format and can be read on anything. I went through the horror of trying to get stuff off of the drives when the controller of my NAS died. I did it, but it was a long process that involved lots of hacked software and a working used NAS from the same manufacturer. After getting all my stuff back (all my Poser and Daz items), I then put EVERYTHING in three places.

I'm using an old fashioned HDD drive for DAZ storage, it was one I had since a few years in a box for an old PC but never used it. So I just bought a rack to be able to plug it to my computer. Most reliable, especially if you only plug it once a week for updating folders.

I think maybe you and most people who have been around for a while will find a heap of shit on old drives that no longer serves any purpose. Reformat the drives and re-purpose them. Last week a freed up gigs of old pre-2000 Poser stuff I'll never use, essentially because my JAV collection has become quite enormous.

@frank22, JAV....*chuckle* I had the same problem until I started editing the videos and just keeping the good parts. I have a bunch of themed videos.
My old Poser stuff is still very much used and is among my most valued digital possession.

@frank22 I'm afraid I can't do that without the wall made of old HDD dividing my office room starting to crumble...

@ethiopia... exactly. The 12TB unit is just a Western digital USB3 external drive.

My backup routine is not that complex:

    - The 12TB external drive, that gets backups every night from my working laptop, and is connected to it.

    - An external homemade server that I also backup everything important to.

I use a combination of folder sharing (so the remote backup server can hit the files), the FreeFileSync app (because it has a command line setup that makes and runs pre-built batch files), and Windows' Task Scheduler. It gives me three copies of everything important.

The backup server is a cheap Intel NUC, running Windows 10 with a couple of fat external HDDs hanging off of the box. I don't go online w/ it, so I disabled Automatic Update (it works, so why break it?) I have it stashed in a closet, and use the home mesh wifi to network it.

The other advantage is that since everything 'pulls' (the backup server copies stuff in from a network share on the laptop), a malware attack means I can break the backup chain before it pulls that night.

Yeh I've begun to do that too as they're usually 2.5 hours long. Or use a screen recorder (Movavi) to grab the segments I want, then run them through HandBrake to reduce the file size.

@frank22, I'm sure I've mentioned that the (ancient) eMule network is still the best source for JAV. It's crazy popular in Asia and there's thousands of titles being hosted. The best part is that you can usually preview a vid before it's fully downloaded, saving lots of bandwidth and time.
