What's the policy for reposting something that is available as an official bundle, but can only be found here as singular items?
I think the website never statuated precisely on that matter. Ever since, the subject of debating "bundle vs single items" posting have been comming on and off from time to time.
Some people see Bundles as an easy and profitable way to get a lot of stuff for cheaper points spending. It's also easier to manage for those who share those bundle with only "one link" instead of having to manage tons of individual link.
Bundle have also a bit of downside.
They are far more heavy to download. (not everyone got fiber or decent internet service in their country and part of the world. Do not take for granted basics things like that for everyone.)
It's also quite annoying when you only want a specific items in a Bundle and there is no way to download it except than having to download gigabytes of items just to get that single items. Not everyone is a product hoarder.Some peoples also see Bundles as a way to duplicate product availabity and leech taking points from people who posted the individual items in the first place. -_-
On the other side, Single items have also good and bad points.
Single items let peoples narrow and download only what they are after. Download are usualy far less file heavy and quicker to download. On a capitalism train of though, it's also a good way for poster to generate more points for their account. By not placing all their eggs in the same basket.On the other side, for users who are a bit hoarders or do want a lot of stuff from a official bundle, Single items means they have to spend more points to download everything. Although for some people it might not be a problem, to recent member or member who don't come here ofthen, it might be annoying.
Again, there is also people who see Singles items as a way to duplicate items posting and leech of points from people posting the whole Bundles in the first place.
All in all, both parties have rights and wrongs in their claims. Until the admins decide a rules to apply, that mini warfar will still be going on and on.....
So as of right now, peoples are kinda free to post the way they see it fit, with at least following that ultimate and only main rules: « DO NOT POST DUPLICATED ITEMS »
(A bundle is technicaly not a duplicate of singles items since it is a....bundle! Yeah, loophole !)Anyway, if i had a say on the matter on all this, my personnal opinion would be this one:
- It should be ok to post items in whatever form they are originaly sold at their store.
So if some items has an official Bundles (Like pro Bundle, or Starter Bundle of characters), than it should be ok to post them has Bundles here. And of course, it should also be ok to post each of those items individialy as Singles, since they are after all officialy sold has single in their store. People shouldn't never be forced and entitled to buy items in bundle because there are bundle existing for them. And that philosophy should be the same for people downloading items here.
On the other side, I'm more againts peoples making and posting "Custom" themed bundles, like vendors theme bundles like Adam said. Especialy when all those items are already available as Singles here. Thoses really feel like leeching and taking the points from the other people who posted all those singles items in the first place. If your bundles do contain a few unique and original singles items not already posted, than you should just post those new items as single. Not in a huge bundle.
Custom bundles like these were maybe working great back in the time of Torrents and such, but this website is not a Torrents system and it doesn't work great like it was for Torrents. I think.
There is NO REASON to post bundles as individual items. Post the bundle, and link the damn bundle folder. This is not rocket science. And if the asset is available in a bundle, there is no point to have the individual items, as they just clutter the whole site.
This is pretty simple, really.
My opinion is unchanged from the last time this was discussed.
People want different things, seldom does every item in a complete bundle appeal.
As long as it is clear what is being posted & there is no direct duplication, there are valid arguments for both.

Most of the bundles here, at least the newer ones, are posted as bundles but the links allow you to pick and choose what parts of the bundles you want to download. Not wanting to download big bundles for one item or not having bandwidth are no longer arguments that really hold much water.
I agree with eveyone above saying that if a Bundle of a specific product is already available here, there is no need for Singles of this Bundle to also be posted.
Especially if the poster of the bundle allow in the download folder to target and specify what part of the bundle we want to download. If all bundle link were like this, then that would be paradise!! And Bundles would always be the best!
It's just that........i only wish we should never have to undergo the tedious annoyance of downloading 1 GB + of product's files when they only want, say...a pack of poses or a piece of clothing in a bundle.
Yeah but in a lot of cases Id download it anyway.
I installed 3 items from Mr Woo but would have still Downloaded everything. Why not, its free and never can tell when or what Ill want later.Fair points Adam.
I guess it's just me being a whiner.
Kinda remember me of when i'm going to the grocecy store and the cashier tell me " Hey, since you bought over X dollar amount of product, you get this item here that we have in promotion this week for free ! " and i'm there " Yeah, but i don't want it. I don't eat that. " Cashier: " Take it anyway! It's free !!!! " Me: " But i DON'T-WANT-IT !!!! " >_< ha ha ha ha ha !"one download" bundles, might be a pain, but the choice is all on you.
Kind of like saying, I want a jar a mayo, but I don't want to get dressed, open the gate, jump in my Jeep, drive to the store, walk into the store, deal with all the people, stand in line, walk back out to my Jeep and then drive the 20 miles back home. I just want a jar a mayo.. But if its the only way I can get the mayo, then I have the choice to either do all that, or not.
Fortunately, with a computer, you can delete the stuff you don't want after downloading.
As leacher I probably have no right to comment. (I've tried to upload a few times but the process was beyond me.)
I have seen bundles linked to MEGA with each product separated into a separate download file. This was good because I only needed a few things and not the whole bundle.
