I am not advocating being mean with bounty offers, but please will people keep their offers within reasonable bounds?

Offering huge amounts of points for a single item might tend to reduce the chance of more recent members getting their more modest offers fulfilled.

    Thanks.

give large points because the thing is very necessary and the probability that it will appear is very low. I have no way to buy. and offering great points is hoping to increase the odds.
    (translate.google) 🙁

I base my points-offers on what I perceive is the chances of the item showing up without my points being offered, and also I calculate in what the item costs currently. If it's a pricey item, I will offer more points. Also if it's a newer item I might offer more points. I try to keep it "reasonable", but when you have lots of points... it doesn't really make sense sitting on them for... whatever reason you might have 😀

My point was that, if that becomes the norm, it will exclude newcomers from a decent chance of having their requests fulfilled.

    🙂

The remark about the number of points is fair. ok, I adjusted my offers, except the most necessary.

The other problem is that those who offer however many points - but only provide to those that are offering points, and do not add to the site - are excluding everyone else, new or well established.

I agree with eelgoo. I see the high bounties making people sit on things so more points will be offered. Smaller bounties will be ignored.

I'm the same as Errilhl on how I base most of my offers.

If I'm going to do a HIGH bounty, time is going to be limited. I'm not going to let it sit indefinitely . Mostly because I'm wanting it for something specific. Unless its a Dragon. Then its my job to supply a safe home for them ASAP. 😉

maybe it’s worth making a rule for everyone? Add time limit for proposal. After the expiration of the sentence is deleted, repeated offers are immediately deleted?

Would require too much work from mods and/or a specific automated method. Not gonna happen.

As for the ridiculous amounts, I do agree. However, 5-10k per asset is, in my book, not "too much" - and for bundles, I can see several thousands more. Also, most of the "ridiculous" offers are bounties gathered from multiple sources (ie, many people offering what they can afford).

As for the newbs and not being able to afford rewards... well, boohoo. There are simple solutions to this:
    1. Buy something, and put it up, and earn points
    2. Better: buy something that there is a reward for, put that up
    3. Attend competitions - get paid for learning / working with DAZ
    4. Offer what you have available - if it's a potential popular item, others might chime in, and you'll get a boost. If not, if it's not a popular item, or an old item, there's probably gonna be someone who has it that will be willing to post it even for just a couple hundred points.
    5. You get 1000 points by visiting the site 10 days in a row. It's not THAT hard to get enough points to offer a bit of incentive. Same goes for newbs - you can get a few thousand points from replying the the "newb" thread in the forums. You can beg someone for a few points. You can ask whomever led you here for some starting points...

There are so many ways to earn points on this site...

Not sure how that works. A person with a new ton of points is more likely to offer bounties for stuff they want. Howz about we make a rule you have to Fkin post shjt once you get points for the mfin item?

I think to request stuff first you should have to fill a request and share it with everyone, once you've done that then you can make a request whenever you want foe whatever amount you want. I remember when i first joined this site i would offer 50-500 pts for items and the good people here ,if they had it would pm me and post it the same as i would do, it did not, does not, matter to me how many pts are offered if i have it i'll share it ( as long as it's mine to share or i have permission from org sharer to share it ) I find the real prob is we don't have enough people sharing period ,people that just come to fill their pockets and leave. I also think to be a member here you should have to post stuff or give it to someone to post, and don't tell me you can't offored to buy anything to share when you prob pay for a $3.00 coffee, they do have some pretty good sales at the diff 3d stores. I also think another problem is people getting lots of points from contests why would they share when they get lots of points from a contest or show up ever day for free points. I also realize some people buy points that's cool as well it's helping Hunter with the site.
YOU SHOULD HAVE TO CONTRIBUTE TO BE HERE
this is all my OP i hope i have not offended anyone -- have a nice day
