It sounds like from some other forum posts there is a way to block this. I'm using Firefox. I downloaded Adblock Plus, but if I block something it blocks the download period. Isn't there a way to go directly to the links?

easy enough when the actual address is showing for the shortcut...but for the bulk of the downloads, it only shows 'download'...so the copy/paste method won't work...

Also, I don't even see a "go to link." I'm using Firefox. I just am sick of every time having to wait for the countdown, which I'm sure everyone is. I just had read a post somewhere you could stop it with some popup blocker I thought.

Please. Choke away...If you aren't seeing it, then you weren't affected by whatever update was put in place, so you can keep your sarcasm to yourself since the problem obviously doesn't concern you.

For what it's worth, though, I don't even use the same browser to look at items listed on other sites from here - so yes, I DO know how to do copy/paste. I was doing that before I started having this problem.

It's just annoying that one day I'm NOT having any problems, and the next I am.

Waiting five seconds to get something for free doesn't bother me. It's another five seconds to browse weird porn in Tumblr while I wait. 🙂

    ok...in a nutshell...
when I look at a page for a download, I see everything you have shown above. I can copy and paste the daz link, but if I just mouse over (as if to click), I see this:
    http://www.anomize.xyz/full/?api=19ac50fdf0b744f3e2a9bdbca2c02efe9c2e53c4&url=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZGF6M2QuY29tL3gtZmFzaGlvbi13YXJyaW9yLW91dGZpdC1mb3ItZ2VuZXNpcy04LWZlbWFsZS1z&type=2
If I decide to get the download, then I see the 'Download' link where the button used to be, but instead of a mega link when I mouse over, again, I see: http://www.anomize.xyz/full/?api=19ac50fdf0b744f3e2a9bdbca2c02efe9c2e53c4&url=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZGF6M2QuY29tL3gtZmFzaGlvbi13YXJyaW9yLW91dGZpdC1mb3ItZ2VuZXNpcy04LWZlbWFsZS1z&type=2
and if I click on it, it takes me to the anomize page for five seconds before it shows a 'continue' link
Granted...it's not life threatening, just merely annoying in that a week ago it wasn't doing that at all...and it does that with all my browsers...

What I meant was for the download links. I just thought I had read once that pop up blockers stopped it. When I copy the link it still copies the anomize link. It just gets annoying when you are trying to download a bunch at once. I get it though.

yeah...and if I *do* use a blocker (aka Opera), anomize just sits there and scrolls and won't let me pass...so I basically have to use two browsers anyway...

Yes, but the plain text says "Download," so how does that help to copy that? I mean, it does work with DAZ links; I had been doing that anyway.

@littlepleasures you can use the FastForward extension😉

@littlepleasures Well I'm neither lazy nor dumb and the plugin is not buggy. To the contrary on all points, and on what do you base these assumptions? Tell the truth. You're just free-ballin here aren't you. (that would be the definition of lazy) Well, Anomize is still an issue and still in use on this very site. I'm surprised that anyone so diligent about lazy and dumb practices would be unaware of that. Besides, I wasn't recommending it to you personally. I was answering your statement: "with download links there is no way (that I’m aware of) to circumvent the anonymizer because it’s an embedded redirect with no provided plaintext URL" The (that I'm aware of), that was a question correct? If it was a statement, then it wasn't true then, and it isn't true now. In fact, it will never be true. You're free to be as dismissive as you like, but I would think that you would be happy to be enlightened if you cared so much for your privacy. Any software that is not open source is questionable. Especially google, and almost everybody uses that. Fastfoward is open source, and you can look at the code if you know how. Eh, to each his own, but if you want to avoid the very extensions that help keep you from being tracked and mined then I wish you good luck. What software do you trust? I suppose you trust the big, trusted organizations that sell everything you do online. Unless you're on a MAC, then kudos😉 Otherwise, you make too many assumptions to avoid dumb practices. "No way to circumvent." Of course there always is.

@littlepleasures I’m making no assumptions. Just because you don’t see something doesn’t mean it isn’t there. That’s an assumption. “I’m not sure why you necroed this thread” Because I ran across the very subject of this thread on this site. “Wow…. just wow.” LOL, that’s what people say when they have no facts. Not trolling at all. Trying my best to be friendly with you, but admittedly, not that easy. Only one of us has resorted to personal attacks and inflammatory statements. I’m simply trying to help you grasshopper 😊

Universal Bypass in chrome has helped me, got it for other sites but haven't seen an anonimize page pop up in ages.
