I'm not much into planes, but these have always been a favorite. The Vought F4U-1A Corsair.
These buggers and the sky dome , froze my PC for 15 minutes while rendering. LOL
Its just a gorgeous plane. I modified the texture in order to replicate the Black Sheep Squadron from TV.May 28, 2018 at 6:15 AM #620565Im not a great fan of rendering objects but this is nice. Where did the sky come from?

I would change two things though, firstly I know the top left is really blown out with the sun but the bottom right half is really dark compared to it. HDRi's don't know these things but light travels and would still be hitting those clouds, maybe try and lighten them up in PS? Secondly, I think you need a foreground focus, maybe even just the tail of a plane or top of a cockpit with pilot looking across at his wingmen? I don't know, something to fill that dead space in the bottom right and give you some foreground focus.

@drgnmztr - Looks fantastic. Ignore those that tell you what they'd prefer to see in your artwork vs producing their own.
May 29, 2018 at 3:25 AM #621647If people just want a stage to show work and get a pat on the back, that's fine and they should just say that. However I see this forum as a way to show your work and get some "constructive criticism", in order to improve. If I offend anyone I urge them to tell me and I'll tailor my responses in the future.
@ladyburger I try to be as honest as I can in my dealings with everyone. My view is no less valid than anyone else's no matter my standing as an art contributor.

I get constructive criticism. But what is not constructive criticism is using phrases such as "What I would do." or "What you should change" Especially where no such criticism was requested. A mere display of a work in a forum is not an automatic request for critique and suggestions for change. This is where you rub some wrong. Those sorts of phrasing will get you into a put up or shut up sort of confrontation every time, especially in situations where nobody can see what you are bringing to the table beyond your critiques of others works.
May 29, 2018 at 7:33 AM #621819criticism:
the analysis and judgment of the merits and faults of a literary or artistic work.opinion:
an estimation of the quality or worth of someone or somethingOk I'm fuzzy on this. In order to give constructive criticism I would need to form an opinion of what I believe needs to be changed based off what I like and I believe others may like based off my passed experience and interaction with others.
I'd like an example of a positive or negative feedback that is not based off your opinion.
May 29, 2018 at 8:57 PM #622451@drgnmztr, I apologise if I offended you and for obviously derailing your post.
To anyone else, please don't derail this post any further.
