    Beware 'em Bison

    Enhanced Version:

    View post on imgur.com

    Changed several things
    - The smoke is different (Not sure if I like it but it looks more realistic)
    - Changed the brick wall (Love Tesla3D products but no matter how much I tried to make the normals/bump/displacement maps work with the old texture, I couldn't)
    - Changed the keyring (I wanted them to look tossed on the table but.. again I may have make it look worse?)
    - Changed the brick wall windows to frosted (though you would hardly be able to tell without it being pointed out)
    - Most importantly I clothed my bison

    Maybe for christmas time I'll create a directors cut with animations and/or just holiday cheer stuff.

    @yulmix

    Coming from the expert in photoshop trickery, that means a lot. Thanks!

    love this!

    did u (as i presume) capture the moment when she looks up from her phone and sees the buffalo?

    the side-on angle makes it tough to tell, although there's certainly nothing wrong with ambiguity in art!

    OOO, missed this one. Well, the second is surely better. It was funny, when I zooming into the picture, I saw the skulls and that was creepy. And your bison is looking good with clothing.
    Well done.

    @jakesilvey
    These are the types of questions I live for (no sarcasm intended). This character was a prototype for my Addams Family cast (Wednesday Addams). Unfortunately I lost a lot of that stuff to a drive crash but ironically a morph of her was saved to my C: drive by (HAPPY) accident.

    This is a animation of her bust: https://i.imgur.com/d6yWVMG.mp4

    So this is her morph slightly modified. She is therefore Wednesday Addams and she embodies the cold, calculating demeanor of the Christina Ricci version.

    That is just my take on the matter. She finds life and mostly all its little surprises to be mundane, therefore the emotionless demeanor.

    You could also look at it like "captured the moment when she looks up from her phone and sees the buffalo" 😀

    Thank you for your comment!

    @frank22

    I really challenged myself ONLY USING emissive lighting where it was applicable (sun, phone, tv) and cranking up the bloom lighting to max. Everything in the scene is practical.

    Thank you for your comment!

    @lucafeelgood

    Yeah, the skull 'mug' is great. I found it here: https://zonegfx.com/mugs-tankards-and-steins/
    Took out the bolts and cleaned up the various texture maps because they had shadows baked in. Then I took a bone and deformed it to make the handle (though you wouldn't be able to tell)

    It's like the pixar saying, "We sand the undersides of the drawers."

    No one notices the amount of detail/effort you put into your scene but you do it anyway.. LMAO

    Anyway, after the HDD crash and came back a lot of people really started showing their A game. You have great renders along with some others and I really wanted to up my game.

    So thanks for the inspiration and for the comment!

    1. Keep your runtime backed up. I dread a HD crash but I know it will happen some day.
    2. Wednesday - "...cold, calculating demeanor..". Yeh she was a tad.

    Wed

    Thanks for the explanation of how you made this. It's great to know how other artists work.
