I've gotta say, I have been spending way more time with Stability Matrix/ComfyUI and really having a blast.
I started getting my feet wet (online generation via Civitai), and then got the courage to try Diffusing locally (Stability Matrix made it pretty easy)
Anyway, right when I got things going, Civitai started its quest to please the credit card gods, and a lot of the content got nerfed... sigh...
Basically anything that could be construed as "outside of the norm" (fetishes) is getting/got deleted... along with anythig that is celebrity/real person oriented.
I haven't been in the game long, but was curious if any other more seasoned AI folks could share where they are getting their more... "interesting" Loras...
For those of you that haven't taken the plunge yet, you should give it a go. I've even used it to run my DAZ creations through to give em more oompf!
July 21, 2025 at 10:48 PM #2137361I browse Civitai every day and there's no shortage of 'outside the norm'. I see the weirdest and creepiest shit imaginable. I also see recognizable celebs labeled "Not a real person".
July 21, 2025 at 11:43 PM #2137369TensorArt has also now removed XXX and celebrity content. Where I live they're talking about criminalising the possession/use of AI programs that can be used to generate realistic NSFW images of people/celebrities. So if the proposals get adopted programs like SD and other AI image generators (DS?) could be effectively outlawed here. I can't see this as workable so it probably won't happen or will be watered down.
July 22, 2025 at 12:53 AM #2137378July 22, 2025 at 1:53 AM #2137380I'd prefer not to say exactly where but the proposal includes this -
"This software [has] no societal benefit, they should be regulated and made illegal, and it should be an offence to actually have these models."
As you can see, moral panic often overrides both individual freedoms and practicality. There always seems to be people who want to regulate what others do, so long as it isn't them.July 22, 2025 at 2:27 AM #2137382Anonymous

heh heh... well, we obviously aren't looking for the same things.
July 22, 2025 at 6:07 AM #2137389I've picked up some nice Loras, and checkpoints from here: https://www.shakker.ai/
Mind you, I haven't exactly been looking for 'outside the norm', so it might not be of much interest to you @redflag.July 22, 2025 at 9:35 AM #2137431@frank22 That is just anti-AI bigotry. Those politician you got there seem to have forgotten about photoshop and even drawing/painting that can be used to do the same thing.
July 22, 2025 at 2:40 PM #2137473Civitai will be geoblocked for UK users as of 11:59 PM on 24th July, when a new law, the Online Safety Act, comes into effect. It seems Civitai can't afford to fall foul of the new act, so it's being proactive. I'm not sure how much of an impact this will actually have on UK users; I imagine most know how to use a VPN.
