It's been a while since I have been active here...in fact it's been a while since I have even used Daz or anything art-related. Life kind of took over for a couple years.
Now that I am semi-out of my self-imposed retirement, I have been trying to catch up.
When exactly did this community stop being friendly and helpful? had issues with a couple uploads, even attempted to contact the uploader, as the domain name was incorrect, and instead of trying to help, I got slammed, accused of not using an ad blocker (I use several, as well as 3 different browsers, for reasons), told I was the only one having problems, and it's MY fault.Seriously, is this the current attitude in general, or is this simply one member? Because I have noticed this kind of rudeness seems to persist everywhere online and IRL these days. I just don't get it... When I started out here, I interacted, made friends and reconnected with friends from other sites, even helped with some uploading myself, as well as using my Mega account as a backup host for a couple links. People were friendly and I actually used to use the forums here.
Nowadays, I feel more encouraged to just sit back, be a hermit, and to heck with it all.
Do all uploaders have some sort of superiority complex, or is it just this one person? Has anyone else noticed changes in attitudes? If so, is it from a younger or newer crowd? Is it everywhere now?Facebook is a wasteland, as are the gaming forums like Steam...nothing but attacks, politics, arguments, flaming, etc.
Does that happen here as well? Is it "ok" for me to come back and call this a "home" again? Or am I just no longer in touch with the world in general?Part of this is me reminiscing the good old days, and part of this is to encourage people to be less hostile and more helpful to each other. Not every problem is on the user-end, sometimes it's as simple as a mistyped link or domain name, or an incorrect one. It helps nobody to slam someone for flagging a broken or incorrect link, when a simple polite conversation and saying "hey, did you try doing this?" and working to figure out why an issue is happening even if it IS only to a single person, would be so much more beneficial to EVERYONE, so if anyone else has similar problems, someone could help THEM as well. It just keeps the good will going and pays it forward.
BTW, if anyone has any problems with a bunkr link, and it's bunkr.pk as the domain, simply change the .pk to .cr to fix it. This should help anyone who isn't aware and gets domain errors in their browser. It is NOT due to use of or lack of an ad blocker!
September 14, 2026 at 2:00 PM #2187868Well there are always a few bad apples i guess, but so far i had good experiences here with nice people.
I also uploaded a few things and one of those things was a .exe file and like 2 people were complaining it was a virus, because the free virusscanner versions said so, but imediatly people jumped in defending it was not a virus (wich it couldn't be because i officially bought it and uploaded it like it was).
but that's what i mean... some people are bad and some are great. I like to focus on the great once 🙂September 14, 2026 at 3:35 PM #2187878I'm sorry it seems less friendly! I've had pretty positive experiences thus far - but also I've learned there's always a certain amount of scamming that happens on piracy sites unfortunately. (but maybe not surprisingly)
September 23, 2026 at 12:22 PM #2189114Just an extra positive update that might lift your spirit a bit.
I tried to fill a request today hoping to get some points out of it, but the problem was that this item was to heavily protected with like an activation code. So the request had to be reset!
So i was a bit bummed out loosing my money and my points, but all of a sudden i get a donation for my problem from one of the members in the request page... and it was a big donation (in my opinion) 10.000 points telling me to keep my head up.
I was so ammazed never expecting this at all.So kindness is defenetly still here! I personally think this is a great community and it just depends on who you meet.
