I tried it out, it seemed pretty cool, and if we could with good lip syncing you can breathe even more life in to your characters in animations. Working on one now, to see how real i can get it to look/sound.
if you want to try it out. It's free, and uses compute to help train new voices, kinda like mining i guess. If you're interested, check it out.
May 15, 2023 at 2:48 PM #1971560This is an interesting take on AI.
No writers, actors or artists.
One if the things Pol Pot did when taking over Cambodia was kill anyone associated with preserving the culture.
June 6, 2023 at 11:55 AM #1981173I am going to disagree with him on Doctor Strange especially since he seems to like to dismiss things as "woke" in the movie. Someone who uses the term "woke" makes me start to ignore.
June 6, 2023 at 11:20 PM #1981355voice.ai opens when you click the link along with a download, VERY suss!! there are ZERO examples, support articles are limited just a million and one download links.. and the support discussions are barren. Hrrrm not sure this is ready for prime time
June 9, 2023 at 5:50 AM #1982237nah, it's cool though, great for voice overs in VAM
i get that it's kinda barren too, just fun
June 16, 2023 at 6:53 AM #1985383I was hoping for an AI text-to-speech solution 🙁
Microsofts text-to-speech robot voice sounds too much like Stephen Hawking..
There are other voices, but the speech pattern is the same.
It would be immensely useful to people who can't or just don't want to (me) use their voice.July 6, 2023 at 2:32 AM #1994224there are a LOT of pretty realistic voice to text options, check out IBM Watson, Azure voice and AWS Polly, you can add on SSML mark ups to add voice inflections or even have the AI take a breath between sentences etc.. some are incredibly creepy how realistic they sound.
July 7, 2023 at 2:39 PM #1995001So far Voice.ai has worked well for me.
Here is an example:
Voice.ai voice exampleJuly 23, 2023 at 7:40 PM #2003451Agree with that video wholeheartedly. I think, all the uses of AI are really a data mining technique that will allow the real AI developers to gather data on how it's working, how they think the next steps will go, they'll make it smarter, they'll give it more control, then one day, the militaries of the world will be like, yeah, let's let AI run our missile systems, lets let it help speed up decisions, let's give it control. Then AI turns on us, and sees the world as it's own, and attacks humanity... oh .. wait.. iRobot, the 50 Terminator movies, the Matrix.
