I was wondering if anyone was ever up to sharing their scenes (i.e. *.duf files)? I'd be willing to pay tribute like it's done with other posts.
It would be nice to see someone's work and settings if someone was willing to share (character layout, lighting, etc.). Granted, I understand for some folks here, this is their profession, but for others, it's simply a hobby.March 20, 2022 at 8:12 PM #1786639The problem is, the duf scenes are not enough, you would need, the character morphs, the textures, etc. This could be a great option, I learned a lot with this (and you need a lot of related products)
March 21, 2022 at 12:35 AM #1786710Yep, sharing scenes makes little sense without also sharing the whole runtime that was installed when it was created. Mostly, because of all the extraneous product morphs that figures load when added to a scene. Even if they are not used, they can cause trouble if not present.
March 21, 2022 at 3:19 AM #1786738Is there a plugin or something that lets you know all morphs, overlays / L.I.E.'s, objects, environments, etc. that a scene is currently using?
March 21, 2022 at 6:19 AM #1786749It would be good if it was that easy to share scenes. AFAIK only 3D Studio MAX files contain the full 3D data for the complete scene.
March 21, 2022 at 7:28 AM #1786755To share scenes, I think.... but not sure, you can use the content-gatherer. Personally I never use this product. So don't blame me, if I talk Sheet.
You can find it HERESo If someone wants to try it!! I like to know If it works.
March 21, 2022 at 7:39 AM #1786759I was going to mention that too Luka but I think it only shows you the links to the content and then you have to go and gather it all yourself if you want to compile it. I could be wrong.
March 21, 2022 at 8:13 AM #1786765Well franc. @frank22 What I have read about this...
"Whether you want to pack content files for distribution or for backup, or whether you want to know which content and files are used by a particular scene or content file, Content Gatherer will analyze the files for you to find all dependent files."
But as you know, my understanding English is not so good. It is like understanding "sackkasse"
Edit::Oh I found this.
March 21, 2022 at 5:55 PM #1786922Yes, it could be a little bit confusing, but if it's a very simple scene, it's possible.
I once had lost my drive and content, but still had my scenes; from the list of "missing" items, it was not too complicated to see which packages I needed to grab. The folder locations/directories give good hints as to what packages are missing or needed.
The poster could even list the items needed (or most of them from their best knowledge) and if someone found another required package, they could let the poster know.
Just a thought. Some folks do nice work and if they wanted to share and earn points, I'd be all for it.
